10 years and still hungry for more. Seafood Station in Gdańsk

From the very beginning, Seafood Station has proven that seafood does not have to be reserved exclusively for special occasions. The philosophy of the restaurants in Warsaw and Sopot focuses on providing guests with unique experiences. The distinctive interiors, refined service, carefully selected menu and champagne list, and the now iconic Oyster Festival attract gourmets who crave flavour and a seaside atmosphere. The latest project in the Market Hall in Gdańsk is set to be one of the most ambitious ventures in the brand’s history and, at the same time, the fulfilment of its creators’ personal dream – to return to their hometown with their own concept.

Behind Seafood Station are Janusz Kotański and Marta Lendzion-Kotańska, restaurateurs for whom seafood is not only a business, but above all a way of life. Their restaurants are associated by guests with quality, a great atmosphere and a holiday vibe transferred to urban interiors. The new Market Hall in Gdańsk is to be a special space, not only architecturally, but also sentimentally. Both owners are from Gdańsk and remember this place well from their childhood. Currently, this historic building is undergoing a spectacular metamorphosis under the wing of the Apsys Group, which wants to create a modern, world-class food hall here, with full respect for the historic fabric of the building. It is here that Seafood Station will expand its presence in a broad formula – on all three levels of the Market Hall.

Seefood Station – more than just a restaurant

As part of the development of the Seafood Station portfolio, three new concepts will debut in Gdańsk. On level 1, Seafood Station Bistro & Oyster Bar will be created – a more casual version of the well-known premium restaurants in Warsaw and Sopot. It is a proposal with a lower price threshold and a more relaxed atmosphere, but retaining the entire philosophy of the brand: distinctive design, high-quality products and professional service.

On level 0, in the food hall, a completely new brand will debut: Seafood Shack by Seafood Station, a street food concept inspired by the seaside shacks of Florida and Key West. The menu will include lobster rolls, fish and chips and fritto misto. All this in a casual setting, affordable and ideal for a quick meal.

On level -1, the brand will open its first shop – Seafood Station Delikatesy. The offer will include fresh fish, seafood, oysters, lobsters and a proprietary delicatessen section prepared in Seafood Station restaurants. This is a response to the growing interest in high-quality seafood products that can also be prepared at home.

From Sopot and Warsaw to Gdańsk

From the very beginning, Seafood Station has been a concept inspired by the global culture of eating seafood. The menu features lobsters, crabs, langoustines and oysters, served in a way that brings out their natural flavour. Flagship dishes such as Seafood Pasta with prawns, mussels, squid and lobster, or the classic combination of oysters and champagne, have become the brand’s hallmark. The restaurants are also famous for their biannual Oyster Festival, during which guests can try up to 20 different types of oysters from around the world.

After ten years, Seafood Station is not slowing down. Recognised with a place in the FORBES TOP 50 restaurants, the brand is boldly expanding its formula, and the Gdańsk project in the historic Market Hall is set to be the owners’ most eagerly awaited and intensively pursued plan for the coming year. The opening in Gdańsk is planned for the turn of May and June 2026.
