35 sq m full of classic elegance. We take a look at a flat in Warsaw’s Wola district

Contemporary interior design is increasingly inspired by classic, elegant design, which, when combined with contemporary accents, produces surprising effects. A perfect example of such a synthesis of styles is the 35 sq m flat designed by Aleksandra Bednarska, located in one of the blocks of flats on Siedmiogrodzka Street in Warsaw. Carefully designed details, noble materials and a subtle colour scheme make this space both functional and expressive.

Classic elegance with a hint of modernity in a 35 sqm.

The client wanted a non-standard finish, reminiscent of the style of French townhouses, and an original combination of colours and structures. Each room in this interior was designed with attention to the smallest details. A light colour palette gives it a spacious feel, while gold accents introduce an element of sophistication. A key motif is the sophisticated details such as the delicate stuccowork, the wooden floor laid in French herringbone and the unique vintage furniture. One of the most distinctive elements is the recycled table, which emphasises the elegance of the arrangement and gives the interior a classic feel.

Marble in the bathroom – sophistication and functionality

The bathroom is a space where marble plays the main fiddle. The countertop and the wall above the washbasin are decorated with contrasting patterns of black and white, which bring elegance to the interior. Gold faucets and cabinet handles harmonise perfectly with designer details such as the semi-circular mirror and stylish lamp. As an added bonus, the washing machine is concealed in the cupboard, keeping the room tidy and functional. Thoughtful decoration and appropriate lighting add warmth and cosiness to the room.

Cosy and stylish bedroom

The bedroom is a real oasis of calm and sophisticated taste. The main decorative element is the quilted velour headrest in olive green, which blends perfectly with the golden accents of the alcove above the bed. The classic stuccowork on the walls introduces a touch of Parisian chic, while the light-coloured furniture keeps things harmonious and tidy. The arrangement is complemented by thoughtfully chosen textiles, such as soft cushions in various textures.

Open-plan living and free flow of light

The spaciousness of the interior is emphasised by the metal-framed glass door that separates the bedroom from the living area. The black frame adds a modern touch while not disturbing the flow of light. This makes the flat appear larger and the functional zones remain well defined.

Elegant living room and kitchen design

The marble and gold theme is making a comeback in the kitchen and living room, giving the interior an elegant style. The white kitchen cabinets with vertical milling optically enlarge the space, while gold handles and kitchen fittings add a chic touch. The French herringbone wooden floor warms up the room and introduces another classic accent. This is complemented by a modern geometric chandelier, which also adds a striking decorative element. Velour cushions in bottle green and warm red enrich the décor and emphasise its timeless character.
