The interior of this 58-square-metre flat was created at the request of one of the developers as a so-called show flat – intended to present the arrangement potential of the space. Despite its relatively small size, the apartment has a living room connected to the kitchen, a bedroom, an office, a bathroom, a toilet and a wardrobe.
Above all, the investor wanted the project to be bright and cosy, and for clients to feel at home. The designed space had to be comfortable and budget-friendly for the average client. In the end, the design is dominated by light wood colours and beiges, broken with blue furniture and a stronger accent in the form of a dark wooden table or chairs.
“In order not to overwhelm the living area, we decided to dispense with wall cabinets in part of the kitchen area, and to distinguish the kitchen apron with cut in narrow rectangles porcelain stoneware tiles with a capraia marble pattern. A solid wooden table and a decorative lamp with a white lampshade suspended above it can be spotted next to it. In both the bathroom and the toilet, we decided to introduce colour in the form of tiles – blue in the large bathroom, referring to the furniture in the corridor or the office, and maroon, which we used in the toilet to create an original composition on the wall with a mirror,” says Marta Wiewiór, founder of the company – says Marta Wiewiór, founder of Nam Studio.
The bedroom is a small room where, in addition to the obviously comfortable bed along with the designed bedside tables, there is an additional wardrobe against a background of dark fabric-textured wallpaper. The office, on the other hand, is dominated by a wallpaper with broad white and grey stripes and a massive desk that is meant to provide a comfortable place to work. Throughout the flat, natural light plays a key role, creating an unusual play of shadows against the abstract paintings, and it is this light above all that creates an atmosphere of rest and tranquillity in every nook and cranny.
