Lessness, the studio founded by Natalia Horak, Dominika Strzałka-Rogal and Michał Franczak, boasted its latest realisation. The space of this 85-square-metre flat in the centre of Krakow is a clearly zoned interior; a bright hallway with a bathroom and a living room open to the kitchen is subtly separated from the rest of the flat. A decorative high white door gently lets light into a more intimate part of the flat: guest room, second bathroom, dressing room, leading to the bedroom: the culmination of a coherent concept.
“The design of this urban flat is based on the timeless classics of walnut veneer, gleaming stone and warm tones of earthy colours, broken by patches of green of varying saturation. In the following rooms, you will find delicate touches of distressed silver and sculptural details that complement the forms of the designed furniture,” says architect Dominika Strzałka – says architect Dominika Strzałka-Rogal, co-founder of Lessness Studio.
The interior concept has stood the long test of time. The final result is a harmonious and soothing space, filled with muted shades of green, white, beige and grey. Earthy colours harmonise here with natural materials: wood and rattan. The fabrics filter natural light, while the glass reflects it, illuminating the space. Each room features custom-designed furniture with classic lines and proportions; a glass display cabinet with a replicated circle motif, a fluted RTV cabinet, a console in the hallway, and a slightly modernising bookcase in the study. The minimalist and modern design of the lamps and furniture is broken up by vintage gems, such as the Danish standing lamp in the living room.
The most striking point of the concept is the bedroom interior. The golden-mustard headrest complements the unique design of the French Anabo wallpaper used in the bedroom. A subtle and light canopy finely decorates the exotic room.
