A 45 sq m flat. Wallpaper with cranes plays a major role here

The interior was designed by Paulina Golaska of Golaska Studio. The 45 sq m flat is located in Zielona Góra. It is lived in by a young couple who wanted a well-designed space.

A well-designed flat is not only pleasing to the eyes with its attractive design, but is also fully functional. Such is the 45 sq m flat on Matejki Square in Zielona Góra.

The interior was designed for rent for a young couple. The premises consist of a living room connected to the kitchen, a bedroom and a bathroom. In order to respond to the needs of the future tenants, the architect decided to remove the walls separating the corridor zone. Originally, there was a separate, dark room from which one entered the bedroom. The new entrance was designed at the central point of the wall dividing the bedroom area from the living room area. During the works, an opening of 160 cm was created.

In the design, we introduced a compositional axis between the living room and the bedroom, with glazing between these spaces. Thanks to this treatment, the decorative wallpaper located in the bedroom area also provides a background for the living room area, says the designer.

The aforementioned cranes wallpaper enlivens the entire interior and adds elegance to the space. The fabric on the sofa in the central area of the suite is a continuation of this colour scheme. The basis for finishing the designed space was the juxtaposition of black marble, gold accents and rust-coloured fabrics.

Stucco and a suspended ceiling with decorative lighting around the perimeter are an important part of the design. These elements were time-consuming for the finishing team to execute, requiring great detail and attention to detail.

Arranging the small bathroom was quite a challenge. In the end, the designer managed to fit a swinging door and a built-in washing machine, thus gaining space.
