a 68-square-metre flat in Bydgoszcz designed by the Duży Pokój studio.

a 68-square-metre flat in Bydgoszcz, located in the green heart of the city, right next to Myślęcinek – the largest urban park in Poland – has been given a completely new lease of life. The Duży Pokój studio, run by Sylwia Lashmann and Marek Lewandowski, is responsible for the metamorphosis of the interior. The designers created a space that combines simplicity with class, providing the household with a sense of comfort and aesthetic coherence.

Modern interior in natural tones

The main design goal was to create a calming and friendly interior, which people want to return to. The investors wanted harmony, simplicity and subtle elegance – and that is exactly what they got. Wood played a key role – from the floor to the built-in furniture, every detail was carefully colour-matched to the lighting and natural conditions of the interior.

The walls in the living area, hallway and bedroom were covered with a French linen-textured wallpaper that adds cosiness and sophistication. The beige tones of the wallpaper harmonise perfectly with the pastel wood and the natural light coming through the large windows.

The heart of the flat – the living room with kitchen

The focal point of the flat is the spacious living room connected to the kitchen, separated from the entrance hall by an openwork wooden wall that lets in light and creates an interesting rhythm of space. The kitchen is made of oak veneer in a soft pastel shade. Minimalist details, such as the subtle undercut edges of the worktop, emphasise the modern character of the design.

The tabletop and backsplash are made of quartzite conglomerate, which adds refinement and practicality to the interior. The dining area is set with a table by Hoom and comfortable Swing chairs from Bolia – all in the spirit of comfort and elegance.

A place to rest and relax

The lounge area is the ideal space for relaxation. It features soft fabrics, the iconic Togo armchair from Ligne Roset and atmospheric lighting from Polish brands Chors and Aqform. The thoughtful layout and selective choice of details make the whole space delightfully calm and refined.

Stylish bathroom and bedroom in the spirit of minimalism

The bathroom is kept in beige tones, with textured tiles whose subtle nuances are emphasised by the appropriately selected light. The master bedroom is a stylistic continuation of the rest of the flat – walls covered with linen wallpaper, a veneer wardrobe with a distinct flader design and the Bloom designer lamp by Hiroshi Kawano made of foam, give the interior a unique, intimate character.
