a 69-metre interior with geometric patterns. This is the project by Sara Tokarczyk!

Sara Tokarczyk presented her latest project, which was created for a young couple. The 69 m² interior design is a unique combination of modern style and cosy character, inspired by the natural landscape around their home. Despite its relatively small size, the interior has been designed in such a way that each element has its place, creating a space that is functional and conducive to the daily comfort of the inhabitants.

Modern style with brick accents and geometric forms

A modern style prevails throughout the flat, characterised by simple lines, functional solutions and a minimalist approach to decoration. The interior is characterised by geometric shapes and dynamic lines that give the space energy and clarity. The dominant colour in the design is a brick-red shade, which is the main accent colour in the flat, running through various rooms in the form of details such as furniture, wall elements and accessories. The colour gives warmth to the interior, and works perfectly with the presence of natural materials such as wood, which has been woven into the design to create an atmosphere that corresponds to the garden and wooded surroundings surrounding the house.

Wood as a link to nature

Wood is the main decorative material in the flat, providing a reference to the beautiful garden outside the window and the greenery surrounding the house. Smart Design Interiors Studio has consciously used wooden elements on the walls, floors and furniture finishes, giving the interior a cosy feel and emphasising the connection with nature. Wood appears here in the form of wall panels in the living room and in the kitchen cabinet fronts. The colour scheme of the wood is kept in warm, natural tones, which correspond with the brick colours of the interior, creating a harmonious composition.

Room layout – functional use of space

The ground floor of the flat is a living space, combining a living room with a kitchen, a bathroom and a small storage room that serves as storage space. On the first floor there are four rooms – a bedroom for the hosts, a guest room and at the same time a study for work, a dressing room and a small, cosy bathroom. Each of the rooms has been designed to make the most of the available space, and to create a space conducive to a variety of activities.

Living room connected to the kitchen – the heart of the home

The living room connected to the kitchen is the heart of this interior, the place where the inhabitants spend most of their time. This open space has been arranged with attention to every detail to ensure maximum functionality and aesthetics.

The lounge area features a comfortable sofa in a light grey shade that contrasts with the brick accents. The sofa is set against a sleek wall with a TV, enclosed by a geometric bookcase that serves both a decorative and practical function. The wall behind the sofa is finished with a geometric pattern. This part of the living room also features wooden elements, in the form of small coffee tables and decorative shelves on which potted plants have been placed, alluding to the nature outside the window.

The kitchen with an island, kept in muted tones of wood and grey, is the ideal place for the daily preparation of meals. The kitchen island functions as both a working area and a meeting place for the household. The brick-red colour appears on the fronts of some of the cabinets, providing a colour accent that breaks up the neutral tones of the furniture. In the kitchen, care has been taken to ensure that all appliances are as integrated and concealed as possible, so that the space remains tidy and aesthetically pleasing.

First floor – residents’ private area

The first floor of the flat has four rooms – a bedroom, a guest room and a study in one, a dressing room and a small bathroom. Each of these rooms has been designed to create a comfortable and intimate atmosphere.

Agnieszka and Marcin’s bedroom is a space kept in cosy, warm tones, with a dominant brick colour on one of the walls. The bed with an upholstered headboard is located next to a large window, which lets in natural light, illuminating the wooden elements. Bedside tables in light wood tones have been placed at the sides of the bed. The study is a room with a minimalist character, decorated with maximum functionality in mind. This room has been decorated in a style consistent with the rest of the interior, with brick accents and wooden elements. There is a comfortable bed and the geometric patterned wall finish adds a modern touch to the room.

Upstairs bathroom – cosiness and functionality

The upstairs bathroom is a cosy space in neutral shades of white, grey and wood, with brick accents. Despite its small dimensions, it manages to accommodate a comfortable shower, which provides an opportunity to relax after a long day. The interior design by Sara Tokarczyk and Wojciech Poziomka is a great example of how a modern style can harmonise with a cosy, homely atmosphere and nature outside the window.
