A bathroom like a work of art? This is what Kristina Busko designed

The bathroom no longer has to be just a room for daily hygiene. It is increasingly becoming a bathing room. A very good example is the new project by architect Kristina Busko. Instead of conservative minimalism, she has created an interior that is distinguished by a wealth of forms and textures. Warm colours and imaginative details stimulate the senses and invite you to discover further dimensions of pleasure. The interior in the spirit of Hedonistic Mannerism is an expressive space of unfettered splendour, where every element – like a work of art – is subordinated to aesthetic sensations and the celebration of beauty.

In designer Kristina Busko’s artistic vision, the decoration becomes the protagonist of the interior, inviting touch, arousing awe and wonder. The arrangement leads the eye from detail to detail as if in a theatrical set, exuding refined extravagance, inspiring a hedonistic celebration of life and an immersion in the full, multidimensional experience of space.

Design for me is about finding tensions, balances and contrasts. I don’t believe in a permanent balance, rather in constantly tilting to one side or the other. In this bathroom, I wanted to combine tranquillity with bold elements that attract attention – Kristina Busko.

A MANIFESTO OF DESIGN CONTRASTS

Hedonistic Mannerism is the art of contrast, in which the interior becomes a stage for unexpected combinations. An ultra-modern carpet by Dutch designer Ruben de Haas juxtaposed with an Italian sofa with an animal pattern collides here with a stucco ornament and a cool, majestic sheet of marble. The play of textures and forms is the essence of the style – a manifesto of aesthetic splendour, inviting experimentation and pushing the boundaries. The OMNIRES OVO M bathtub and washbasins fit perfectly into this style – in new geometric shapes that combine functionality and artistic form. The integrated shelves organise the space, and the matt finish in coral blends seamlessly with the overall design. Their satin surface creates the perfect backdrop for a ritual of relaxation – a sensual pleasure in which design becomes experience.

I want an interior to inspire. To be a place that gives you energy every day. Even if life consists of routine activities, the home should be a space that motivates, empowers and allows you to discover something new. Minimalism does not inspire me, I prefer a wealth of textures, fabrics, details – Kristina Busko.

A MEETING OF CULTURES AND ARTISTIC MASTERY

In this concept, Italian mannerism, French finesse and Spanish expression, enriched with influences from Moorish architecture, create a space pulsating with sensual energy and artistic virtuosity. The striking Murano chandelier symbolises Venetian craftsmanship and the mastery of glass, the aged mirrors recall Parisian art déco chic, and the richly decorated stuccowork in the passage to the shower area alludes to Middle Eastern ornaments. Precious shades of brushed brass, present through the use of fittings from the OMNIRES Y collection and OMNIRES MODERN PROJECT and UNI accessories, complete the arrangement, bringing an elegant, contemporary touch to the interior.

THE INSPIRING AURA OF THE SPANISH SOUTH

The motif that binds the Hedonistic Mannerism design together is the shade of muted pink and red: warm, saturated and rooted in the Spanish landscape. It shows up in sun-drenched facades, in the texture of old walls and in fine marbles – Rojo Alicante, whose deep red with white lining weaves a tale of the south of Spain, and Calacatta Rose, in which powerful, painterly patterns spill over the surface of the stone like brushstrokes on a canvas. This palette, meeting the colours of the OVO M bath and basins, became the impetus for the entire arrangement, giving the interior roots in the province of Alicante in eastern Spain, close to designer Kristina Busko.

SENSUAL RICHNESS OF FORM

A warm colour palette that envelops the interior, creating an aura of closeness and intimacy. Curves and curves guide the eye and the touch, forming a sensual dance of forms – from the expressive geometry of the tiles by Italian designer Christina Celestino, to the streamlined lines of the Y mixers and the sculptural shapes of the OVO M bathtub and wash basins. The walls, deliberately imperfect, follow the light. Its reflections dance on the uneven surfaces, creating ephemeral images that change with the time of day. This echoes Italian and Spanish landscapes, where the rough plasterwork conceals the history of time and the beauty of transience. Luxafers filter the sun’s rays, introducing a subtle warmth that complements the sensual character of the interior in Hedonistic Mannerism.
