The Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Warsaw, located at 154 Wiertnicza Street, has gained a new, representative seat, the implementation of which was handled by the WEIRAUCH Architectural Design Office in cooperation with Adam Ciuk Architekci. The project included not only the development of the concept, but also detailed construction and execution preparation and interior design. The entire implementation process was carried out in accordance with international standards, so that the new Egyptian embassy is an example of the harmonious combination of elegant architecture inspired by tradition and modern security technologies.
The new building is partly inspired by the architecture of the Egyptian embassy in Washington DC. The external façade is made of massive stone slabs, which gives the building a solemn and elegant appearance, evoking associations with the monumental buildings of ancient Egypt. The entrance portal is a clear reference to the classical forms of Egyptian architecture, while the symmetrical body of the building and the rhythm of the windows are reminiscent of ancient colonnades, further emphasising the representative nature of the building.
The new embassy building was designed in accordance with the local zoning plan, which imposed certain parameters such as maximum height, building width and roof angle. As a result, the embassy has been given a hipped roof and dimensions in line with the spatial requirements, ensuring harmonious integration into the local surroundings. An intimate garden with a fountain was created at the rear of the building.
The interior design of the embassy posed a significant challenge, requiring a combination of elegance, timelessness, and functionality that enables diplomatic meetings to be organised at the highest level. The materials used, such as marble, walnut veneer, stucco, natural leather on the furniture and high-quality lighting, emphasise the prestigious character of the interiors. The colour scheme is deliberate and refers to the colours of the Egyptian flag – red, white and black – which gives the interiors a unique national symbolism and distinctive style.
The design is distinguished by innovative security systems, both internally and externally. The new Egyptian embassy has been equipped with advanced ICT, alarm, fire and anti-terrorism security systems to ensure complete safety for users and staff. All these solutions were agreed in detail with the investor.
