It is a space that does not so much receive patients as draw them into a carefully staged production. The clinic designed by Monika Nienartowicz-Masciarelli employs techniques familiar from Milanese theatre: lighting that guides the gaze like a spotlight, the depth of materials that build tension, and details that function like precise props. It is an interior in which everyday life takes on an almost theatrical dimension, and every step becomes part of a staged sequence. And these are not grandiloquent phrases. The interior looks like a carefully crafted set design.
DERMINA Clinic is located in Gorzów Wielkopolski. The clinic’s interior has been designed in the maximalist aesthetic. This is a deliberate choice by the architect, who has subordinated all elements to a single, consistent vision. Glass blocks introduce soft tonal transitions, whilst the Palladiana marble flooring lends the interior a sense of monumentality that does not dominate but organises the space. Dark, chocolate-coloured coffers paired with intense Rosso Lepanto create a strong contrast, whilst burl wood introduces organic softness and a refined texture. The whole is dense, sensual and deliberately rich, yet remains clear to the eye.
Objects play an important role here; they are not a random collection of decorations, but an integral part of the scenography. Chairs from the 1930s designed by Marta Stam introduce a historical atmosphere, the Embassy Interiors lamp emphasises the theatrical character of the light, and the chandelier from Murano, Italy, acts as a jewel-like accent suspended above the space. The sculptural handles guide the hand in an almost intuitive way, whilst the art (including a painting by Agnieszka Kirzanowska-Osińska) enhances the emotional warmth of the interior.

DERMINA exemplifies the approach that defines Monika Nienartowicz-Masciarelli’s boutique studio. The architect creates spaces where detail takes centre stage, and natural materials intertwine with art and vintage design. Her projects stand out for their distinctive character and timeless elegance, but above all for her ability to create atmosphere.
In Gorzów Wielkopolski, an interior has been created that redefines the standard of medical spaces. DERMINA consciously crafts an experience based on materials, light and precision. It is a clinic that remains functional, yet leaves a lasting impression thanks to a consistently executed design vision.
