This 75-square-metre flat in Bemowo, Warsaw, is a proposal for lovers of holiday vibes and exploring new spaces. The project was designed with the idea that every detail of the interior should remind you of the sun, travel and unlimited freedom. The inspiration came from the search for colours, forms and shapes that bring joyful energy into the flat.
Inspiration and concept
The initial plan was to furnish four separate rooms, but eventually one of them was abandoned in favour of creating a spacious living room connected to the kitchen. This solution allowed for an open, unified space that further emphasises the atmosphere of holiday elation. The entrance area was subtly separated from the main part of the flat by a rounded, light green wardrobe, which not only fulfils a storage function, but also provides an interesting decorative element.
Details such as the protruding wall with the TV, integrated with delicate shelves placed in the alcove, add lightness to the space. The round table that houses the bookcase was designed with the two cats in mind – the transitions and shapes thus created reflect the natural dynamics that the presence of the animals brings. It all comes together in a harmonious whole that brings a vibrant and energetic atmosphere to the flat.
Flat in Bemowo. Thoughtful solutions
The focal point of the kitchen is a large island, clad with oak half-rails and finished with natural terrazzo, matched in colour to the cabinet fronts. Functionality is complemented by closed cabinetry with the Hava system, allowing any unsightly items to be discreetly hidden from the eyes of guests. Opposite the entrance, behind a concealed door, is the bathroom with bathtub – a place where the shape of the mirror alludes to the arched forms found throughout the flat. A darker shade of green dominates this room, and the terrazzo imitation stoneware on the floor and bathtub subtly corresponds with the kitchen worktops.
In the bedroom, a large upholstered bed with a curved, cut-out headboard catches the eye, perfectly matching the wall lamps and switches. The curved wardrobe in oak veneer and lacquer emphasises the stylistic consistency of the interior. In addition, a utility room has been separated to the right of the entrance, acting as additional storage space instead of another WC and children’s room.
The entire arrangement is complemented by intense colour accents – accessories in shades of fuchsia and orange and brushed gold, which give the interior a luxurious feel.
