Their house in Toruń breaks the aesthetic mould. Anna and Piotr live here with their three children, who invited Monika Rogusz Witkoś of COI studio to design the interior of their dream home. The interior is distinguished by the intense colours of the furniture and accessories, which create an original atmosphere here.
The house in Toruń was arranged to be a feast for the senses. There is an abundance of colours here, but taken together they form an attractive palette, interacting with each other and adding energy to the space. This can be seen in the living room, which is kept in various shades of pink.
The house was meant to be a reflection of a family full of positive energy. For its décor, I looked for inspiration in 90s interiors, among other things, but filtered it through contemporary, often very fashion-forward trends from Instagram. Rich and bold forms dominate,” says the designer.
The heart of the house is the living area located on the ground floor. It consists of a living room with kitchen and dining area. The grey microcement floor, which connects all the furnishings, sets the tone for the colour palette. The large living room has been divided by furniture into two smaller zones. The first, with a tiled fireplace designed by COI studio, a TV and a large sofa, is a zone for relaxing with a book, film or game. The second zone with a smaller sofa and coffee table is the place to receive guests.
The house in Toruń is a place to live. Family celebrations can be celebrated here at the large dining table. It is a wooden piece of furniture over which two lamps from the Danish brand Menu hang, and the children’s iconic Tripp Trapp chairs stand next to it. On common days, the table is also the perfect piece of furniture for playing board games or putting together puzzles. Colourful ones, of course.

The kitchen area is distinguished by its wooden cabinetry, which corresponds well with the colourful metalwork. The kitchen island placed in the middle of the kitchen gives more space to work. It is also very practical – it has many storage compartments and shelves. The island was made by craftsmen especially for this project.
Aesthetic consistency is also applied to the bathroom. There is a 90s vibe here, influenced, among other things, by the square, bright tiles with coloured grout in the form of a mirror. The space is also decorated with an oval washbasin in a coral colour.
