The interior design of a segment of a single-family house in Warsaw was carried out by Monika Głowacka of Moogaa Studio. The interior designer was commissioned by a client who is professionally involved in landscape architecture. The client had clear expectations. The interior was to be toned down and based on natural colours. The result? Check it out!
The interior design began with the acquisition of inspirations collected by the client, which very clearly delineated the direction to be followed by architect Monika Głowacka.
Subdued wall colours in natural shades, subtle lighting and contrasting dark wood were the elements that stood out at first glance and thanks to which I immediately knew what the interior was supposed to look like. It also led to the project being accepted with virtually no changes, which I really appreciate every time. The clients carried out the realisation process wonderfully, taking care of many details from the design in their own way, which allowed them to faithfully reproduce the effect from the visualisation with the interior concept,” says the architect, founder of Moogaa Studio.
The interiors were designed in the style of warm minimalism and japanese. Light grey microcement was included on the floor with colour-matched plaster used on the walls and ceiling. This gives the interior a light grey, uniform base, against which the carpentry development using furniture board in the shade of Oak Mocca stands out.
In the bedroom on the first floor, classical elements have been added in the form of wall stucco, which has been accentuated by the illumination of a large round mirror placed behind the bed and bedside lamps. The wall opposite the entrance was finished with a furniture panel with vertical mouldings, which found its continuation in the bath bathroom, but also on the ground floor rtv wall. In the bath bathroom, the most striking feature is the stone-patterned tile, cut with water into narrower, vertical pieces mounted on the wall behind the free-standing bathtub.

About the studio:
Moogaa Studio is an original designstudio founded by Gliwice-based architect and interior designer Monika Głowacka. The main objective of the studio is to create well thought-out and tailored architecture and interior designs. I do not prioritise my architectural ego over the needs and guidelines of my clients, as it is they who will be moving around in the space I design on a daily basis. I do not design for the sake of being published in design magazines or winning competitions, but for the client’s functionality, comfort and budget. I feel comfortable in the styles of warm minimalism, modern classic, japanese, wabi-sabi and modern architecture.
