In the heart of Warsaw, in the modern high-rise Varso building, Voxel has opened a diagnostic imaging centre that redefines the concept of comfort in medical care. It is a place where design and functionality combine to make a visit to a specialist a calm and friendly experience. Guided by aesthetics combined with a practical approach, the architects decided to break the mould and show that a medical facility can be like an oasis of relaxation. The interior was designed by architects from Bah studio.
Upon entering the centre, one immediately feels the softness of the carefully selected materials and the softness of the colours, which create an aura of calm. The reception and waiting area was designed to make every patient feel special – it is not just about paperwork and registration, but about creating a place that alleviates stress from the very first moments.
Decorative elements inspired by nature play a significant role here – round, modern forms and subtle details that evoke harmoniously arranged landscape elements. Ergonomically shaped furniture in warm tones not only invites you to relax, but also emphasises the individual character of the interior. This is complemented by the striking stone worktop, which seems to float just above the floor, creating an impression of lightness and modernity. Cosentino flooring, sintering and wall cladding bring an element of nature into the interior.
Diagnostic imaging point. Precision and tranquillity
At the heart of the diagnostic centre is the examination area, where seemingly austere materials and minimalist design combine to create an atmosphere full of calm and security. The natural wood on the walls, with its clear texture reminiscent of a walk in the forest, together with the neutral colour tones, provide not only aesthetic qualities, but also beneficial acoustic and thermal properties.
The LED lighting has been carefully planned to simulate natural daylight. This effect is intended to enhance the patients’ wellbeing by adding extra depth and warmth to the interior. The attention to detail, from the choice of furniture to the use of appropriate textures and materials, demonstrates that here medical precision goes hand in hand with human comfort.
Design consistency was also applied by the architects in the bathrooms. The light colours of the floors and walls are an extension of the aesthetics prevailing throughout the interior. Only the Omnires chrome fittings stand out against the sandy background.
Modernity for the man
The diagnostic centre in the Varso high-rise building is not only a technologically advanced laboratory, but also a space that literally envelops and soothes the nerves of patients. Every element, from the floors to the decorative details, has been designed to minimise the stress of medical procedures. It is an example of how contemporary design can become an integral part of the treatment process, positively influencing the emotional and physical wellbeing of those using the facility.
Thanks to the use of high-quality materials and the thoughtful composition of the interior, the Voxel centre at Varso is not just a place for research – it is a space where, thanks to the architecture, people are made to feel comfortable and safe.
