A flat inspired by waves. Minimalism in Sopot

In the green, quiet part of Sopot Górny, an interior has been created that proves that luxury does not always mean glamour and ornaments. The 75 m² flat, designed by Martyna Rybka-Flis, is a tribute to natural materials, timeless minimalism and harmony with the surroundings.

The flat is located in a historic tenement, just a 10-minute walk from the Sopot pier and the vibrant city centre. This is a neighbourhood that once housed the City Power Plant, the city gardens, the Palm House and numerous recreational facilities – elements typical of Sopot at the turn of the 20th century.

Kitchen inspired by waves

The heart of the flat is the spacious kitchen with an island made of natural stone. Attention is drawn to the wavy cabinetry made of high-quality veneer, whose rounded shapes allude to the rhythm of the sea waves. Combined with panoramic windows that let in light from the east to the south-west, the kitchen becomes the focal point of the flat and a natural meeting place for the occupants.

Harmony of details and materials

At 75 m², there is space for a living room with kitchenette, a bedroom with built-in wardrobe, a children’s room or space for a study, a bathroom and a hall. The high 3 m ceilings emphasise the feeling of spaciousness. The entire space is finished with micro-cement and the furnishings are custom-made from stone and wood – materials that age beautifully and take on character.

Martyna Rybka-Flis’s design emphasises the idea of luxury expressed through simplicity and careful craftsmanship. The bespoke furniture, subtle built-in lines and natural finishes give the interior a timeless feel while remaining functional. The flat is also equipped with a smart home system that discreetly enhances the comfort of the residents.

Sopot climate in a minimalist edition

This interior is more than just a flat – it is a well-thought-out space in which you can feel the atmosphere of a seaside resort. Bright colours, natural materials and soft forms bring calm and elegance to the interior, emphasising its relationship with the surrounding greenery and proximity to the sea.

Designer Martyna Rybka-Flis – a model with a passion for interior design – created a flat that perfectly combines minimalism, functionality and unique style.
