This holiday flat in Świnoujście, designed by Magdalena Dzierzon of Magic Interior Design, is a space that combines the atmosphere of a boutique hotel with the functionality of a family holiday home. The interior was designed with comfort, tranquillity and harmony with the surrounding greenery in mind.
Located within the Greeneri Park development, just 500 metres from the beach, the flat benefits from its unique setting next toa vast park. Right from the entrance, the view of the trees through the large glazed areas catches the eye; these bring natural light into the interior and create a sense of spaciousness despite the compact floor area.
From the outset, the project was based on a shared understanding of the client’s expectations. The flat was to become a holiday oasis for her family, whilst also serving as a short-term rental property. The key was to create a timeless, cosy and soothing interior – based on a warm colour palette, natural textures and high-quality materials. The atmosphere was intended to evoke the feel of an intimate hotel nestled amongst greenery.
A warm colour palette and natural textures
The interior is decorated in muted shades of beige, caramel, brown and chocolate. Dark stone and stainless steel elements provide a contrast to this soft colour scheme. The organic forms of the lamps and furniture add a sense of lightness, whilst subtle touches of green in the accessories echo the park surrounding the building. The walls were finished with textured paint and wallpaper imitating linen and canvas, which reinforces the natural character of the space.
The elegance of materials in the kitchen
The kitchen area is based on a combination of stone with a distinctive pattern, wood, lacquered fronts in a deep brown shade and steel wall units. The worktop is made of sintered stone, whilst the Hvyt handles – combining steel with a stone sphere – add a decorative touch. The combination of cooler steel with warm materials gives the fitted units an elegant, almost sculptural character. The woven detailing on the chair backs subtly evokes a seaside atmosphere, whilst the Muuto Strand lamps cast a soft, diffused light.
A living room with greenery in the background
The living room is dominated by the rounded forms of the lounge furniture, which create an atmosphere of freedom and comfort. A striking accent is provided by the green-beige rug with a geometric pattern, which acts as a counterpoint to the subdued base of the interior. Large windows allow the outdoor greenery to become a natural extension of the space. The living room opens onto a spacious terrace, whilst the layered lighting design – floor lamps, wall sconces and decorative lighting – allows the mood of the interior to be adjusted according to the time of day.
Just like in a hotel
The bathroom has been designed in a darker, more atmospheric colour scheme. Italian Kerasan ceramics in a nude shade and Treemme fittings in a stainless steel finish create an elegant, cohesive composition. The character of the space is emphasised by Aromas del Campo lamps and Hvyt handles.
In the bedroom, the priority was comfort and a hotel-like atmosphere of relaxation. The high continental bed and hotel-style bed linen are designed to ensure maximum comfort. Through the large windows, one can look out onto the terrace and the surrounding greenery, which enhances the sense of tranquillity. Warm wood, linen-effect wallpaper, stone and mood lighting create an elegant, harmonious space.
A space for rest
The whole space has been designed as a place conducive to slowing down and mindful relaxation. The apartment blends harmoniously with the building’s architecture – modern, featuring a sandy colour scheme and complemented by wooden details. The space is designed for holiday breaks and is available for short-term rental, including for guests travelling with pets.
It is an interior that combines functionality with a cosy aesthetic, creating a calm, cohesive narrative based on natural materials, light and harmony with the surroundings. A decidedly timeless design that will still look great even many years from now.
