A house in Oława. Inside, they opted for minimalism.

The house is located near a forest. Its interior was designed by architects from the Habitat studio. The building was created as a peaceful, everyday base for a family of three and their dog. The proximity of nature has become not only a privilege here, but also a starting point for thinking about the interior. The residents start their day with a walk among old trees, and contact with greenery organises their thoughts and restores balance. The design was intended to transfer this state to the interior – in a modern way, but without coldness, without decorative styling, but with a consistent focus on proportions, light and materials.

Warm beige dominates throughout the house, softening the transitions between rooms and creating a cohesive, soothing base. White appears only in the details, emphasising selected lines and edges. The built-in furniture is made of wood with a distinctive grain, so it needed a neutral background. This is provided by a microcement floor in a cashmere shade – uniform, matt and visually light. Combined with soft lighting, it creates an atmosphere that naturally corresponds to the view outside the window.

The most impressive space remains the two-storey living room with a suspended glass bridge. In its central part, there is a spacious sofa and a large table, thanks to which the living area is both open and intimate. The multimedia area is located next to the stairs, so that while watching a film, you can still enjoy the view of the garden and the warmth of the fireplace. It is the fireplace, inscribed in a rounded structure finished with small tiles, that is the most characteristic element of the interior.

The central element of the space is a rounded structure finished with small tiles – a multifunctional form that combines a staircase handrail, fireplace, TV cabinet, TV wall and plant pot. Right next to it, there is a row of wooden cabinets concealing the home library. In the evening, their role changes – they become a linear, warm light emphasising the largest wall of the living room, explainsAgata Pierożyńska from the Habitat studio.

The kitchen with an island, decorated in a consistent combination of wood and beige, is a comfortable space for cooking. Its character is based on simplicity and naturalness, without unnecessary accents. It is a place where it is easy to focus and find peace, and the materials work to create a sense of harmony.

The combination of wood and microcement is repeated in the bedroom and bathrooms. Warm surfaces are juxtaposed with the austerity of mineral structures, and the light guides the eye along the soft curves of the walls. The whole promotes calm and regeneration, creating a space that does not impose itself in form, but supports the everyday life of its inhabitants.
