A house near Łódź. This is how they decorated their living space

The house near Łódź was designed for young parents expecting a space that is not only modern and luxurious, but above all comfortable and timeless. Excited by the prospect of finishing their home, the clients had already gathered all the necessary materials – floor tiles, bathroom tiles and full furnishings – ready to start the finishing work immediately. However, despite their accumulated resources, they lacked a coherent plan, and impulsive choices and emotional decisions began to raise doubts. This is when a friend – a repeat client – stepped in and recommended Agnieszka Morawiec, convincing them that “you can’t do it alone”. This recommendation proved to be a breakthrough.

After a detailed needs analysis, it turned out that the materials purchased did not fully meet the investors’ actual expectations. Returns were no longer possible, so the decision was made to repurpose them. Materials that did not fit perfectly into the original plan found new life on the first floor of the house. Thanks to a creative approach, it was possible to create a new, completely coherent space, where each element became part of a well-thought-out whole.

Beautiful Italian stoneware tiles were proposed for the ground floor, which perfectly emphasised the openness of the space, giving it a timeless and elegant flair. The focal point of the living area became a media wall with a television – a very important element for investors. In the same zone, elegant Italian tiles with a natural vein were incorporated to decorate the kitchen cabinetry and the shower area in the bathroom. In the media composition, the stone element was gently moved away from the wall and highlighted, and the remaining space was complemented with a mirror, giving the effect of a slightly floating design.

A key solution in the lounge area was a large corner chest of drawers – minimalist yet functional, offering huge storage space. The selected sofa, large and comfortable, blended perfectly with the rest of the arrangement, creating a space so comfortable that the investor admitted that, after moving in, he loved the lounge area so much that he reluctantly falls asleep in the bedroom. It is here that every detail has been planned so that the daily ritual of relaxation takes on a new dimension.

The kitchen is the heart of the home

In the design, special emphasis was placed on the kitchen and lounge area – a space that was not divided by rigid zones, but seamlessly combined the functions of the living room and kitchen. The investor, known to be a culinary enthusiast, needed comfort when cooking. The focal point was a large island with an integrated table – a unique finishing element, made of sintered stone cubes, the edges of which were precisely cut at a 45-degree angle. The realisation of this element required close collaboration between the carpentry and stone team, resulting in a perfect fit with the rest of the interior.

Large stone slabs of warm tones, with a distinct vein, were tackled with a cool, walnut finish furniture board with a three-dimensional wood effect – a set that runs through all the rooms. This deliberate design treatment gives the interior a cohesive, calming balance and a spacious feel.

The kitchen space has no rigid boundaries – functions flow into one another, creating an environment that is welcoming and inviting. Care has been taken in the design: a phenomenal lamp from a Spanish brand hangs above the table top, whose specially prepared veneer leaves, when illuminated, create extremely friendly lighting. Large, illuminated display cabinets – appearing in both the kitchen area and the living room – add to the overall character and emphasise the coherence of the arrangement.

The bathroom required extensive rearrangement. In the original layout, the toilet bowl belonged to the entrance area, which caused inconvenience during daily use. After making the necessary adjustments, the interior was transformed into an extremely functional space. A large, discreetly concealed storage cupboard, a shower area and a washbasin countertop made of the same material as the elements in the kitchen and against the media wall appeared. Striking lighting, thanks to lamps from a Spanish manufacturer, completes the modern finish.

The original vestibule was not forgotten either, which was entirely clothed in the chosen fabric, creating the effect of a seat and a soft, upholstered wall. Mirrored wardrobes also played a key role in the vestibule, completing the functionality of this small but very distinctive room. The door leading from the entrance area to the rest of the house is also an interesting solution – thanks to a neat black frame with a mirrored infill, the door visually reaches the ceiling, which visually raises the space.

Multi-functional space – additional lounge and winter garden

Large interiors bring with them challenges when it comes to building cosiness. On the one hand, there is the risk of emptiness, on the other hand, they contain opportunities to create additional functional zones. In this project, a cosy lounge was created as well as a winter garden with a view of lush greenery, which particularly pleased the investor – a plant lover. The large glazings not only illuminate the interior, but also allow one to enjoy an uninterrupted view of the surrounding nature.

The realisation of this project is proof that an interior can be both luxurious and welcoming, and that every detail – from the carefully selected Italian materials to the furniture to the subtle accessories – is important for the final effect. The design not only harmoniously combines functionality with aesthetics, but above all creates a space that influences the daily well-being of the inhabitants. It is an interior where every detail emphasises the uniqueness of the moment, and every morning takes on a new glow thanks to an environment designed with passion and attention to the smallest details.

Waking up in a space that energises, inspires action and brings harmony is a luxury that every investor dreams of. Thanks to this project, young parents with a child can enjoy a place where comfort, modernity and timeless style work together to create the ideal conditions for living, relaxing and daily enjoyment.
