A development that boasts an exceptionally good location has been created near Poznań. The building is surrounded on all sides by a dense forest, and thanks to large glazings, nature becomes an integral part of the home’s space. The views of the greenery permeate the interiors, creating an impression of harmony with the surroundings and providing the residents with daily and very close contact with nature. The house near Poznań was furnished with a focus on a subdued atmosphere and simplicity of form.
Inspired by nature and the character of the residents
The interior design was developed by M2P architekci. The idea was to create a space that would harmonise well with the landscape and also reflect the personality of the occupants. The architects therefore opted for simple forms, natural materials and a raw design, which was enriched by details in matt gold. This unique combination lends elegance to the interiors, while at the same time preserving their subdued and somewhat gloomy character.
A house near Poznań with functionality in mind
The shape of the forest house is reminiscent of a modern barn, but has been expanded to include two additional wings. One of them accommodates the dining room with a wine cellar, while the other plans a sleeping area with a bedroom, bathroom and wardrobe. The developer wanted a timeless design that would remain relevant over the years, so the entire project was kept in a universal, consistent tone, without any distinctive accents or strong colours.

Living room – the focal point
In the living room, the focus is on the tall fireplace finished in natural stone. Its form flows seamlessly into the bookcase set along the wall, together creating a coherent and interesting composition. The underside of the mezzanine and the adjacent wall were clad in brushed wood. This material, obtained from demolition, brings a specific character to the interior and creates the effect of a symbolic canopy over the kitchen.
Kitchen, dining room and wine cellar
The centrepiece of the kitchen here is an island with a worktop made of Black Tempest quartzite. Its structure resembles a spatial sculpture, so that a hint of artistry can also be felt in the house. A passageway leads from the kitchen and living room to a glass-enclosed connecting area that serves as the dining room. Further on, behind wooden sliding doors, there is a wine cellar finished in natural brick laid in the manner of traditional centuries-old cellars. This treatment allows one to feel the atmosphere and ambience of the past.
