Its design was created at the Jan Sikora Wnętrza studio. The flat was designed in the japanese style and is located in a new building, just a few minutes’ walk from the sea. Its interior features a lot of furniture and accessories that have been handmade by artisans.
The flat is located in the Botanica Estate. Its residents only need a few minutes’ walk to find themselves by the sea. The intimate estate is distinguished by its boutique developments, which are set in lush greenery. It is an atmospheric, quiet and thoughtfully designed place.
Inspired by the atmosphere of the estate, architect Jan Sikora created a space for his friends. The flat is like an oasis of peace and tranquillity. This effect was achieved by reaching for solutions characteristic of the japanese style. The original arrangement was complemented by elements slightly alluding to the sea.
In total, the flat consists of a living room, kitchen area, guest room, bedroom with wardrobe and bathroom. Most of the built-ins were made to measure, specifically for this space. The architect admits that the craftsmen did not have an easy task.
Everything in this interior is original: the fusion lamp above the black table, which refers to Japanese contemporary culture and shimmers in dozens of fluorescent colours, the table underneath it or the lamp on the living room table. The table is also original, as is the large steel bookcase on which souvenirs from all over the world have been gathered,” says Jan Sikora.
The semi-circular solid door, which becomes a wall when closed, is a feast for the eyes. The striking wallpaper on the bathroom wall is also impressive. It depicts floral motifs on a black background. The wallpaper is a product of 41zero42.
