Krakowskie mieszkanie

A Krakow flat full of energy. The Ładny Kwadrat studio has focused here on colours

Krakow – a city full of history, art and inspiration – became the setting for a flat that embodies creativity and functionality. It is a space that, from the very first moments, delights with courage in the choice of colours, thoughtful details and harmony between aesthetics and comfort. The project, created by Ładny Kwadrat studio, reflects the personality of the owner – a woman with an artistic spirit, who values unique solutions and the comfort of everyday life. Her Krakow flat exudes creativity and energy.

Flat layout

Although the 54-square-metre flat did not require a general overhaul, the changes made were crucial for optimal use of space. Demolishing one of the partition walls opened up the flat and made it more spacious. The layout included a living area connected to the kitchen, an additional room and a mezzanine, taking advantage of the rooms’ height of more than 3 metres. The living room was separated into a bedroom, located under the mezzanine, which created an intimate and functional space.

Hallway

Despite its small size, the hallway has been designed to make maximum use of the available space. A tall wardrobe with vertical handles further emphasises the height of the interior. The wallpaper with a motif of broad brushstrokes gives the space an artistic touch and heralds the originality of the entire flat.

Kitchen

The kitchen is a true work of art among interiors. The bold colour palette – the juicy yellows of the upper cabinets and the pastel pink of the lower cabinets – creates a modern yet cosy atmosphere. A subtle mosaic strip above the worktop adds an extra artistic touch. The fronts of the cabinets have been designed with attention to detail, including the unique arrangement of handles in the lower cabinets, forming the owner’s name in Morse code.

The focal point of the kitchen is the multifunctional peninsula, combining the functions of storage, worktop and table. The kitchen design, created in collaboration with Laga Studio, combines functionality with an artistic flair.

Living room

The living room is a space divided into zones with different functions, which is emphasised by the colour scheme. The first zone, in a shade of cool blue, serves as a workspace. Natural materials dominate here, such as the wood of the secretary, which contrasts with the blue wall. The second zone, the lounge area, is decorated with a pink sofa and modern tables. Consultation with Dekorian Home allowed for a perfect match of paint shades and decors, creating a harmonious but energetic space.

Bedroom

The bedroom, located under the mezzanine, has been given an intimate feel. Darker, moody colours promote relaxation, while natural materials – wood and textiles – add cosiness. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered to create a peaceful place conducive to tranquillity.

The children’s room

Functionality and energy are the hallmarks of the children’s room, designed for three siblings. Mezzanine beds with yellow ladders provide the older children with a sense of privacy, while the lower section, designed for the youngest child, accommodates a play and study area. Thoughtfully designed, the built-in space allows for tidiness and adaptation to each child’s individual needs.
