Łódź has been enriched by another unique place on the gastronomic and design map of the city. HEKSAGON 2.0 is a modern interpretation of the cult restaurant, which has gained a new character after a comprehensive modernisation. The restaurant at 144 Pomorska Street attracts not only with its exquisite menu, but also with its unique interior design, combining modernity with elegance and a unique atmosphere.
The design of the space is the responsibility of the boko architekci studio from Łódź, known, among other things, for the realisation of the Hidden Rivers restaurant. The architects created a comprehensive concept for the interior and supervised every stage of its implementation, taking care of details and the harmonious composition of spatial forms.
A two-storey space with a diverse character
HEKSAGON 2.0 offers visitors two separate but coherently designed zones. The ground floor, based on the building’s original construction, is characterised by a lower storey height. In order to visually raise it, both the walls and the ceiling are covered with a uniform decorative plaster in a shade of broken white. This treatment allows the surfaces to flow together and subtly blur the boundaries between them. The first floor, on the other hand, offers a more intimate atmosphere through the use of warm, brick-green colours. This part of the restaurant stands out for its greater architectural dynamism, enriched by expressive forms and bold accents.
Characteristic design elements in the HEKSAGON 2.0 restaurant
The most striking aspect of the interior is the ceilings, which are a key design element. Particularly striking is the one on the first floor – an organic, undulating structure radiating out from above the bar, creating a visually fluid effect. The heart of the restaurant is the centrally located bar, which has both a practical and aesthetic function. The circular form, finished in hammered copper sheet metal, subtly reflects the light, bringing to mind a sheet of water. The positioning of the bar naturally divides the space into intimate zones, while at the same time providing an integration point for guests.
Skilful interplay of materials and colours
The interior of HEKSAGON 2.0 is a carefully considered composition of materials and textures. Soft velour upholstery in three shades of red alludes to the brick-red tones of the walls, creating a consistent visual effect. The curved patterns on the floor mirror the wavy lines of the ceiling, emphasising the harmony of the space. In addition, openwork structures above the bar and seating introduce a play of light and shadow, giving the interior subtle depth.
HEKSAGON 2.0 – a space for everyone
HEKSAGON 2.0 has been designed as a versatile venue – ideal whether for a romantic dinner, a business meeting or a formal party. Thanks to the thoughtful division of space, varied lighting and flexible table arrangements, the restaurant adapts to the individual needs of its guests, providing an unforgettable culinary and aesthetic experience.
