The mobile tiny house is a year-round house on wheels that can be taken anywhere that can be reached by car. Its appearance is reminiscent of a caravan, but in fact it is a modern solution for those looking for an autonomous mini-apartment or holiday home.
The main advantage of this small house is its ability to function independently of traditional energy sources. Thanks to an advanced off-grid installation, it allows it to use its own energy resources, allowing it to stay away from civilisation without sacrificing everyday comforts. The project set out to create a facility that could be hooked up to a passenger car of up to 3.5 tonnes, so the weight of the building was a key factor. Every kilogram of equipment mattered, so all elements were carefully selected to make this mobile home as light as possible.
The interior of the building is characterised by simplicity and minimalism, ensuring maximum ergonomics in a small space. Numerous storage compartments, folding furniture and pull-outs allow four people to use it comfortably. The cottage is equipped with a bathroom, a bedroom on a mezzanine floor and a living space with a fully equipped kitchen and a seating area with an additional fold-out bed.
The construction of the house is based on a lightweight steel frame filled with insulating foam and clad in pine boards. The building materials were chosen according to a zero waste philosophy. Steel components come from scrapped and re-melted raw materials and the interior furnishings are mostly made from natural materials.
