In the picturesque scenery of the Silesian Beskid, a unique building is being constructed – a house in Brenna that harmoniously combines traditional elements of regional architecture with modern solutions. The project, created with respect for the local landscape, is a modern reinterpretation of the Beskid style, while offering functionality and aesthetics at the highest level.
The house in Brenna is characterised by a simple, elegant body with a gabled roof, which directly refers to the traditional buildings of the region. The protruding eaves and strongly accentuated balcony, integrated into the body of the main roofing, function as a cover for the recreational terrace on the lower floor. Large, panoramic windows open up the interiors to the surrounding nature, allowing views of the garden and the mountains to be enjoyed.
The body of the building is based on a rectangular plan, covering a total of 325 square metres. The steep slope of the site was used to create an underground part of the building, where there is a garage for two cars, a technical space and a wine cellar. On the ground floor, a representative vestibule, a living space with an open kitchen, a living room with a dining area, as well as an internal communication with a staircase, a toilet and a private spa area with a jacuzzi, connected to the owners’ bedroom, have been planned. On the first floor there will be a recreation area with billiards, guest bedrooms and an additional bathroom.
The ground floor façade is finished with wood in warm tones, laid horizontally, which alludes to traditional log buildings and harmoniously fits the building into the green surroundings. The base of the building is clad in local Beskydy stone, which flows seamlessly into the retaining walls and external terrain stairs. The standing seam metal roof adds a modern touch while also fitting in with the character of the surrounding development.
The house in Brenna is a modern interpretation of the local architectural tradition. It is a unique combination of functionality, aesthetics and respect for the surrounding landscape, which creates an ideal space for living while maintaining a deep connection with the regional heritage. Thanks to carefully selected materials and attention to every detail, the project fits perfectly into the context of the place, offering modern solutions in harmony with tradition.
