A new dimension in display. The Deante Showroom and Deante Design Studio

Dynamic forms, precise geometry and an experience that engages the senses – the new showroom for the Deante and Deante Design Studio brands in Zgierz is a space that breaks with convention and offers a fresh perspective on the display of kitchen and bathroom fittings. Designed by REFORM Architekt, the project has been tailored to the brands’ needs, creating a modern workspace for architects and clients.

The Deante and Deante Design Studio showroom, designed by Marcin Tomaszewski, architect and founder of REFORM Architekt, is a carefully crafted space where the products take centre stage. Instead of classic, ready-made interior designs, the focus is on a cohesive architectural environment that allows attention to be centred on the form, detail and finish of the fittings.

The narrative of the space begins right from the entrance area. The reception desk, in the form of a large white counter, is paired with black, loft-style lamps and black accents on the ceiling. This striking contrast serves as a cohesive introduction to the entire concept – minimalist yet formally expressive.

Just beyond it lies the waiting area, which serves as a meeting place and the first point of contact with the space. It is a transitional point that allows visitors to familiarise themselves with the character of the interior and prepares them for further exploration of the exhibition.

Multi-level exhibition

The interior has been divided into kitchen and bathroom zones, with each collection presented in a clearly defined context. A key element of the layout is the walls displaying washbasins, designed in a consistent style, which create an orderly, almost graphic composition. The products are presented in harmonious sequences, highlighting differences in form and finish.

The character of the space is defined by geometric, dynamic forms resulting from the layout of the display units. The minimalist colour scheme, based mainly on white, black and metallic tones, reinforces the impression of order and elegance, whilst linear lighting guides the visitor through the successive display sequences. The whole creates a cohesive composition in which the architecture does not compete with the products, but rather highlights them. Part of the display has also been moved to a higher level, which enriches the spatial experience and allows for the creation of a multi-layered narrative. As a result, the showroom gains additional depth, and visitors can view the range from various perspectives.

“It was crucial for us to organise the space through a clear division into zones and to maintain consistency in the overall narrative of the exhibition. We also wanted flexibility – the ability to rearrange the space quickly and present a large number of products in an orderly, almost gallery-like manner,” says Marcin Tomaszewski, architect and founder of the REFORM Architekt studio.

An exhibition in motion

One of the most distinctive features of the showroom is the mobile display of taps and sinks. Designed as a modular installation, it allows the layout of the products on display to be changed as required.

The carousel display, controlled via a tablet, allows the segments to move smoothly vertically, revealing successive models and organising the way they are presented. This solution not only organises the display but also introduces an element of interaction, making engagement with the range more dynamic and engaging.

An experience that engages the senses

The showroom has been designed as a space that engages the senses beyond the visual. The whole creates a multisensory experience – atmospheric music, the subtle scent of the interior and carefully selected multimedia displayed on screens enhance the experience and intensify the impression of engaging with the design. This approach makes the interaction with the product more intuitive and emotional, whilst the space itself encourages visitors to stay longer and engage in conceptual work.

Another key element is the opportunity to test the products directly. Selected taps and shower heads have been connected to the plumbing system, allowing visitors to see in practice how the fittings work – from the nature of the water flow and its intensity to the operation of individual solutions. As a result, interaction with the product goes beyond a visual presentation and becomes a real-life user experience.

The modern, geometric architecture of the showroom is softened by the presence of plants. Natural accents introduce softness and balance the austerity of the forms, creating a more welcoming, sensory experience of the space. Greenery appears at key points in the display – near the baths and relaxation areas – subtly referencing the context of water and daily rituals.

A space for dialogue with architects

The Deante and Deante Design Studio showroom has been conceived as a place for meetings and collaboration with architects and designers. The central area encourages conversation, analysis and the joint development of concepts, whilst the space itself offers considerable freedom of interpretation.

“We wanted to create a place that would provide real support for architects and designers – one that is inspiring, but does not impose ready-made solutions. We focus on the clarity of the display and an experience that engages the user on many levels,” says Paulina Winnicka, coordinator for cooperation with architects.

The new space in Zgierz demonstrates that a showroom can be more than just a presentation venue – it becomes a working tool, a platform for inspiration and a deliberately designed architectural experience.
