A suburban home with soul. Art, tradition and modernity in a Deer Design project

The suburban house designed by architect Dominika Domagała of Deer Design is a unique space where classic elements blend perfectly with minimalism. It is a place created out of love for details, art and family traditions, which teems with warmth and harmony. The realisation in Konstancin-Jeziorna perfectly fits the needs of a family of four, creating a space for living together, passion and relaxation.

From the very beginning, the project was distinguished by an exceptional understanding between the architect and the investors. As Dominika Domagała emphasises, the key factor was the homeowner’s attachment to the details that make the interior unique. This harmony and shared energy resulted in a realisation that the investors describe as a dream project.

The central part of the house is the ground floor, where family life takes place in the spacious living room connected to the kitchen. The light colours of white and cashmere are juxtaposed with wood and black details to create a subtle yet expressive atmosphere. Classic accents, such as classical fir on the floor, a marble fireplace and stucco on the walls, are complemented by family heirlooms: a table and Viennese chairs that are more than a century old.

An extremely important element of the arrangement is the bookcase – glazed and illuminated – perfectly suited to the needs of the house’s book-loving members. The collection of volumes, carefully arranged by theme and colour, is both a decorative and functional part of the interior. The space is complemented by prints collected by the owner and the view of the forest, which brings a surrogate of nature into the house.

The toilet on the ground floor stands out for its original design. The terazzo stoneware, the mosaic over the washbasin and the warm peach shade of one of the walls create an interior that is modern yet coherent with the rest of the design. The first floor houses the children’s rooms, a study, a bathroom and a laundry room with utility room. Each interior has been designed with functionality and aesthetics in mind. The attic, on the other hand, has been divided into a bedroom, a dressing room, a bathroom and another utility room. Despite the slants, it was possible to create a comfortable and well-organised space.

The bedroom stands out with its light colours, stucco and gold accessories, which give it a subtle, cosy feel. The art déco bathroom, with its free-standing bathtub and high-gloss lacquered washbasin cabinet, is the owner’s dream relaxation area. Brushed gold details and stylish accessories enhance the elegance of this room. The architect emphasises that the project went extremely smoothly, thanks to excellent communication with the investors. The joint commitment, attention to detail and precise visualisation ensured that every element of the house was well thought-out and perfectly executed.
