A tenement house in Gdańsk’s Orunia has undergone renovation. It is another investment of Gdańskie Nieruchomości

Another historic multi-family building in Orunia has regained its former glory. This is already the twelfth investment of Gdańskie Nieruchomości carried out in this district as part of a wide-ranging revitalisation programme. The tenement house was built at the beginning of the 20th century. The building is a historical building, entered in the Communal Register of Historical Monuments.

The scope of renovation works included the following: vertical and horizontal insulation of basement walls from the side of the courtyard, vertical and horizontal insulation of foundation walls together with filling cavities in the masonry, insulation of the attic ceiling, partial replacement of the roof formwork, removal of the old covering and execution of a new roof covering.

Chimneys were also repaired, flashings, gutters, downpipes were replaced, ventilators were installed, ventilation chimneys were installed, window frames were replaced along with internal and external sills. New door frames were also put in, sanitary sewers were renovated, bands were made around the building, a lightning protection system was installed, the entrance staircase to the building was repaired and maintenance work was carried out on the façade.

In the future, Gdansk Real Estate also plans to renovate the staircase and other elements of the building’s interior.

The renovation began in November 2023 and was completed in May 2024. The cost of the investment was more than PLN 1.5 million. The Revitalisation Programme is co-financed by the Pomeranian Regional Operational Programme 2014-2020.
