An eclectic flat in Gdynia. Here colour matters

Its interior was designed by Marta Siedlok. The eclectic flat is located in Gdynia. Various elements and motifs harmoniously fill the space and surprise with their intensity. The richness of colours and unique accessories create a space full of life, energy and artistic impulses.

Right from the threshold, guests are greeted with an unusually atmospheric ambience – a rainbow mirror and a subtly decorated table with colourful accents foreshadow what awaits in the depths of the flat. Openwork panels placed at the entrance to the living room, reminiscent of a runway, make every step lead us more and more confidently towards the living space. In the corridor, coloured lamps with creative lighting effects scatter light to the sides, adding dynamism and unusual charm to the interior.

Living room – the heart of creation

The living room is a wealth of detail, where nothing is left to chance. The ceiling decorated with a colourful painting creates a unique setting, highlighted by the lamp above the sofa with rainbow glass. The comfortable sofa, decorated with a variety of cushions, together with a rug from Rugwist and a chest of drawers with distinct colourful accents, create an original space. The kitchen island, clad in Italian pink tiles, is an eye-catcher thanks to the hockers and chairs, each with a different, distinctive colour. A beautiful ceramic lamp hangs above the dining table, completing the whole with a harmonious composition.

It is impossible not to mention the most extravagant addition to the living room – the BOLA swing from the Polish company NOTI. This unusual piece of furniture, capable of seating two people, is the icing on the cake, inviting you to relax for a moment in this incredibly crazy space. Every detail, from the fruit platter, to the colourful cutlery and artistically designed tableware, to the glasses decorated with colourful balls, testifies to the passion and precision that went into designing this interior.

Terrace as an extension of the living room

The terrace does not lag behind in terms of the conceptual approach to design. A comfortable rocker in saturated red invites you to take a momentary break from everyday life, while a dwarf-shaped lamp adds a note of feistiness and playfulness to the space. This is a place where the intensity of colour meets the comfort of outdoor relaxation.

The needs of the home’s youngest inhabitants have not been forgotten either. The well-thought-out children’s room, equipped with a large built-in wardrobe, allows for storage of all the essentials and additionally creates space for free play. In the same room, there is a special recess in the wardrobe – an ideal place for moments of rest, reading a favourite book or deep pondering, conducive to tranquillity after a dynamic day.

An eclectic flat for relaxation

The bedroom is kept in an equally strong but slightly more subdued atmosphere. The dominant blue walls and ceiling, complemented by a 3D effect wallpaper, create a space conducive to relaxation. A slightly wacky sticker on the wardrobe door adds an unusual touch, while retaining the calm and intimacy that should accompany a place of relaxation.

The eclectic flat in Gdynia is a manifestation of artistic freedom, where every element – from memorable colours, to decorative details, to a specially selected fragrance – serves to create a unique atmosphere. It is a space that combines intensity and dynamism with moments of rest in a highly sophisticated way, offering a flat ideal for those who value originality and expression in everyday life.

About the studio:

Marta Siedlok has been running her interior design studio “FORMAT WNĘTRZA” for six years. Her work is guided by Vitruvius’ triad, which states that architecture should meet three key conditions: beauty, durability and usability. Every project carried out in her studio must meet these three criteria. She always starts her design work with a long conversation with the client to get a sense of their needs and preferences. She puts the client first, and the carefully selected furniture and structures are intended to create a harmonious backdrop for the lives of the inhabitants of each interior.
