An iron and a steamer in one? The Philips OneTurn makes everyday life easier!

Warmer days mean our diaries are filling up with outings and events at an ever-increasing pace. And the more occasions there are, the more often we change our outfits and reach for clothes that don’t look their best straight out of the wardrobe. Sometimes they need a quick steam, and sometimes a more thorough iron. The Philips OneTurn was created precisely so that, in such moments, you don’t have to choose between an iron and a steamer.

In spring and summer, we’re more likely to reach for light shirts, dresses or linen trousers, which work perfectly for various occasions – from after-work meet-ups to weekend plans. However, it is precisely on these fabrics that creases tend to be particularly visible, which is why getting dressed often becomes one of the last steps before leaving the house. For many people, ironed clothes are an important part of their sense of well-being and self-confidence – 61% say they make them feel good, and 57% say they help them look theirbest1.

The ironing effect, the convenience of a steamer

In the daily rush, traditional ironing can be time-consuming – it requires setting up the ironing board, preparing the space and waiting for the iron to heat up. All this takes time, which is often in short supply when we want to quickly iron or freshen up a single item just before leaving the house.

It is precisely with such situations in mind that Philips is introducing OneTurn – a device combining the functions of an iron and a steamer, designed for quick and convenient ironing and smoothing of clothes without unnecessary preparation. The device heats up in 45 seconds, and the included StyleMat or SoftBord mat can replace a traditional ironing board. Simply lay it out on a bed, sofa or tabletop to smooth out your clothes without having to set up a full ironing station. This makes the Philips OneTurn ideal both for quickly freshening up a single item before heading out, and for ironing a larger batch of clothes after washing.

An innovative feature of the Philips OneTurn is its rotating head, which allows the appliance to switch from an iron to a steamer. This lets you adapt its function to the type of garment and your immediate needs. Fabrics requiring a stronger effect can be ironed, whilst delicate fabrics that are more difficult to smooth out or require greater care, such as pleats, can be refreshed with steam. In practice, this means greater freedom in your daily garment care routine.

Technology that makes ironing easier

Philips OneTurn combines features that make daily ironing simpler, faster and more intuitive. The appliance is 50% lighter and faster than traditional Philips steam irons, which translates into greater ease of use.2 OptimalTEMP technology eliminates the need to manually adjust the temperature for different fabrics, helping you iron without the riskof scorching.3

Effective smoothing is ensured by a continuous steam flow of 45 g/min and a steam boost of up to 90 g, which help remove creases even from more demanding fabrics. OmniDrive technology guarantees full steam performance whilst helping to reduce water marks on clothes. Thanks to the combination of OmniDrive and OptimalTEMP, the appliance allows you to iron comfortably, effectively and without fear of scorching.

User comfort is further enhanced by practical features such as a detachable water tank, an automatic shut-off function and the scratch-resistant, diamond-shaped SteamGlide Plus soleplate. Its design makes it easier to reach tricky areas such as collars, around buttons and seams. The descaling function, meanwhile, helps keep the appliance in good condition for longer.

The Philips OneTurn is the perfect combination of a steamer’s convenience and an iron’s effectiveness. This makes daily ironing less time-consuming and more intuitive – you can iron clothes that require traditional smoothing, whilst refreshing delicate or more challenging fabrics with steam.
