Situated on the Tuscan coast, amongst its own olive groves and fields, the Tuscan Coastal Craft House was created as a peaceful retreat for a couple of Polish entrepreneurs who have been combining their business activities with their creative passions for years. The house in Tuscany, one of several owned by the couple, has become a place where work and relaxation blend together naturally. Filled with light and opening out onto panoramic views of the coast, hills and valleys, it offers an atmosphere conducive to long stays, contemplation and hospitality. The interiors are characterised by warm materials, smooth transitions between zones and handcrafted details that define the pace of life – slower, more mindful, rooted in the local landscape.

Visiform – the owners’ own studio, which has been developing its own approach to working with wood for years – is responsible for the joinery design of the furniture found inside. Most of the furniture was crafted in their workshop, whilst elements requiring specialist production were made to order under their supervision, including designs by Dobrzynski–Sałek. The home also features accents of local olive wood: trays, bowls and small functional items that introduce an organic softness and emphasise the connection between the space and the surrounding landscape. Carefully selected brands – DePadova, Carl Hansen & Son, Bora, Vipp – complement this narrative, offering functionality with a sense of understated elegance. Wood ties all the spaces together, creating interiors that are tactile, personal and discreetly luxurious.

A space like a living gallery

The owners, committed patrons of the arts, have treated the house as an evolving gallery. A commissioned sculpture , *Figs*, by Piotr Sobczyk stands in the garden, whilst the interiors feature works selected with everyday use in mind. Paintings, photographs and objects coexist with the furniture, creating a layered, informal composition. This is a space that does not aspire to museum-like perfection – it is alive, ever-changing and resilient to the marks of daily life. The open-plan layout encourages socialising, whilst more intimate corners invite you to read, sketch or simply reflect. As a result, the home combines the concept of ‘slow living’ with the energy of its owners, who are constantly creating, working and exploring.

The Tuscan spirit

Although it is just one of their properties, the Tuscan Coastal Craft House was conceived as a place where everyday life can seamlessly transition into creative work. The interiors support remote working, long stays and hospitality, whilst remaining intimate and conducive to relaxation. The combination of the Tuscan coastal scenery, Visiform’s artisanal precision and a conscious approach to art and design creates a project that serves as a portrait of the owners – their energy, sensitivity and craftsmanship translated into architecture. It is a home that not only tells their story, but also allows them to live in tune with the rhythm of their own work and passions.
