The Korean brand anggae demonstrates that the modern dress code no longer needs to divide the day into formal office hours and the rest of everyday life. In its FW26 collection, the brand reinterprets office wear through soft draping, fluid silhouettes, layering and deliberately distorted proportions.
Founded in 2024, anggae is one of the younger brands in the Samsung C&T Fashion Group portfolio. Its aesthetic is based on emphasising the natural silhouette by combining sensual, soft forms with more structured garments. The brand’s signature philosophy, ‘Revelation through Concealment’, involves revealing the silhouette by partially concealing it, using layers and sheer fabrics.
The office, but on your own terms
FW26 expands on the concept of ‘officewear with blurred boundaries’ – office wear that doesn’t end when the working day is over. Instead of a classic suit or a rigidly defined dress code, we see garments that can be mixed and matched and transformed to suit the occasion.
One of the collection’s signature pieces is a cowl-neck top, whose soft, flowing lines contrast with more defined shapes. It is paired with loose-fitting satin trousers reminiscent of a skirt in their construction. Other looks feature sheer layers, pleated knits and wide-leg trousers.
Softness meets structure
anggae builds the collection on contrasts. Alongside delicate, semi-transparent fabrics, we see faux leather, suede and denim. A faux leather blouson features distinctive, geometric pleats at the hem, whilst denim trousers with a jacquard floral pattern have a curved, more sculptural silhouette.
Cardigans with pleated panels also look particularly striking. In the ivory version, the subtle sheerness and texture of the fabric lend the classic knitwear a more sophisticated feel, whilst the navy pleated top is paired with fitted capri trousers and light layers tied around the waist.
Instead of a strict dress code
The collection also showcases a more practical side to the anggae aesthetic. A brown suede safari jacket with large pockets and a low-slung belt is paired with a knitted top draped over the shoulders and capri trousers. Meanwhile, a simple cardigan with press stud fastenings is paired with loose-fitting grey trousers with a wide waistband.
It is precisely these combinations that best illustrate the brand’s direction – the clothes are not meant to look like a ready-made uniform, but to form a wardrobe that can be easily adapted to different parts of the day.
A Korean brand with ambition
anggae was launched in 2024 and, from the outset, has been expanding primarily through Korean fashion platforms such as SSF Shop and 29CM. The brand is also available in selected shops in the United States, Europe, Japan and China. According to Samsung C&T, its cumulative sales from January to August 2026 rose by 129 per cent year-on-year.
The FW26 collection is currently being showcased not only online. In September, the brand opened its first pop-up at The Hyundai Seoul department store, and from 29 September, the collection has also been on display at the Stage35 space in Seoul’s Seongsu district. There, fashion has been combined with a sensory experience – from a fragrance created especially for the brand to the Tea Ritual event.
anggae is not, therefore, attempting to reinvent the office wardrobe. Instead, it shows how it can be made more relaxed – stripping away rigid rules, adding layers, soft silhouettes and unexpected proportions. The result is fashion that works just as well at your desk as it does long after you’ve left work.
