The warmth of saffron, the freshness of bergamot and the depth of myrrh and frankincense – this is the scent of Mirra Zafferano, a fragrance by the Italian brand Vranjes, which will become the signature scent of the M7 apartments, part of the Towarowa22 Superquarter in Warsaw. Archicom Collection, in collaboration with Galilu – Vranjes’ distributor in Poland – is introducing bespoke fragrance compositions to all its developments. Mirra Zafferano, Oud Nobile and Chinotto Pepe will become another element shaping the character and atmosphere of the M7, Gutenberg and Flare apartment blocks.
World-class art collections, featuring works by Andy Warhol, Helmut Newton, Pieter Obels and Anish Kapoor, have become one of Archicom Collection’s hallmarks in the premium property market. Now, another, invisible dimension is being added to this experience – carefully selected fragrance compositions, tailored to the character of each development and emphasising their individual identity. The fragrances will be available in the communal areas of the M7 and Gutenberg apartment blocks, currently under construction in the Superkwartal Towarowa22 development, and at Flare on Grzybowska Street in Warsaw. These bespoke compositions come from Vranjes – an Italian brand with over 40 years of history, whose roots lie in Florence, the cradle of art, architecture and the modern tradition of perfumery. Today, the brand is present in 75 countries and remains a symbol of Italian luxury. The choice of Vranjes was therefore no coincidence.
We travel the world to enrich the Archicom Collection with collectable details and unique touches that complete the experience of living in luxury. Italy is an inexhaustible source of inspiration for us. Together with Galilu, we have chosen Vranjes – a partner from Tuscany which, like the Archicom Collection, combines heritage, craftsmanship and timeless elegance with a modern approach to designing experiences. Vranjes is a brand steeped in passion and tradition, creating sophisticated fragrance compositions that lend interiors elegance and a unique character. This makes the Archicom Collection experience even more sensorial and complete. “We are the first on the market to give our properties their own signature scents – anyone who steps inside a building immediately knows they are in an Archicom Collection apartment block,” comments Karolina Prędota-Krystek, Sales and Marketing Director at Archicom Collection.
Every Vranjes product is handcrafted in Tuscany, and the distinctive bottles are inspired by the dome of Florence’s Duomo. It is precisely this attention to detail, the quality of craftsmanship and the ability to evoke emotion through scent that make Vranjes a natural complement to Archicom Collection’s developments. The energetic and modern Chinotto Pepe, combining fresh citrus notes with cardamom, vetiver and black pepper, will be the invisible yet distinctly perceptible hallmark of the Flare apartment block. The Gutenberg apartments will be complemented by the refined and deep Oud Nobile, in which oud, frankincense, myrrh, amber and sandalwood create a timeless, elegant composition. Meanwhile, Mirra Zafferano will be featured in the M7.
When selecting fragrances for each development, we were guided by their character, architecture and the emotions they are intended to evoke in residents. A scent within an interior is more than just an accessory – it helps to create the atmosphere, evoke emotions and define the identity of a place. In M7, the concept of synaesthesia was a key starting point for us. After all, architecture is not limited to what we see. It also encompasses light, textures, materials and scent, which intermingle and together create a cohesive narrative about the place. For M7, we chose Mirra Zafferano – a composition blending fresh, spicy and warm notes. The grooved sandstone on the façade, whose surface changes depending on the angle of the light, finds its olfactory counterpart in bergamot and saffron – notes that are fresh and luminous, yet warm and refined. Deeper accords of myrrh and frankincense evoke the character of the stone, whilst ambergris and vanilla lend the composition softness and warmth, balancing the raw quality of the materials. The greenery and gardens surrounding the buildings are also significant. Their natural character is reflected in a harmonious fragrance composition inspired by nature. Mirra Zafferano thus combines three key elements of M7 – light, matter and nature. Together, they create an atmosphere of tranquillity, elegance and subtle luxury,’ says Kuba Kubiak, fragrance coach and expert at Galilu.
The M7 apartment block is part of the Towarowa22 Superquarter, developed by Echo Investment, AFI Poland and Archicom Collection, and designed by the architectural practice JEMS Architekci. The building’s cascading form borders the two-hectare Ogrody Towarowa park, with the Dom Słowa Polskiego pavilion, on Miedziana Street. The M7 concept focuses on proximity to nature and the play of light. Panoramic windows, spacious loggias, airy terraces and conservatories, as well as a private, green courtyard, naturally blur the boundary between the interior and the surroundings. The unique character of the communal spaces is emphasised by photographs by Helmut Newton, whilst this carefully considered architectural and artistic setting is complemented by a bespoke scent composition, creating a multisensory and cohesive atmosphere for the space.
The M7 project is based on the premise that architecture affects the user in multiple dimensions – not only through form, but also through the texture of materials, the play of light and the palpable atmosphere. “Here, we define luxury through the quality of detail, the careful selection of materials and the mood created by light and shadow,” says Maciej Rydz, a partner at JEMS Architekci.
The concept of a multisensory experience of architecture also encompasses the other developments in the Archicom Collection portfolio.
The Gutenberg Apartments, also designed by JEMS Architekci, are a property with a collector’s appeal. The building draws on the finest examples of the modernist heritage of the House of the Polish Word, distinguished by its façade of light-coloured Warsaw Stone and unique, two-storey glazed sections. The prestige of the location is further enhanced by the presence of the first Montblanc literary salon. The building stands next to a historic 19th-century mansion housing the Wola Museum, and in addition to direct access to the greenery of the Towarowa Gardens and its proximity to trendy culinary concepts, the development’s identity is shaped by art — featuring Andy Warhol’s iconic work ‘The Alphabet Soup’ — and the deep, sophisticated aroma of Oud Nobile, with notes of oud, incense and amber.
Meanwhile, Flare on Grzybowska Street (designed by BJK Architekci) is a 15-storey apartment block created with lovers of the bustling metropolis in mind. Located in the city centre, in the vicinity of Saski Garden, it allows residents to fully embrace the metropolitan lifestyle – here, the world of art, the city’s leading theatres and unique restaurants are all within easy reach. The unique character of the communal areas is complemented by sculptures by Pieter Obels and Anish Kapoor, as well as the bespoke, citrus-and-spice fragrance Chinotto Pepe.
