When designing an attic, the architect responds to specific needs: creating a quiet bedroom, a well-lit workspace or a functional living area, often within clearly defined budgetary constraints. Automation and integration with smart home systems
Users’ growing demands for comfort are reflected in expectations for the integration of windows and doors with automation systems. Overheating protection as part of the system
Designing a comfortable loft also requires consideration of sun protection. External thermal-insulating roller shutters limit the build-up of heat inside and can reduce the room temperature by up to 6°C*. This helps to minimise the risk of overheating and reduce the need for mechanical cooling.
These are complemented by internal blinds, which allow you to control the amount of light and the level of privacy. A systematic approach to the design of windows and sun protection allows for the creation of coherent solutions that meet both technical requirements and the quality of the living space.
