Krakow has just gained a new spot on the culinary map – Ayko Matcha Bar, a space created for lovers of Japanese matcha tea and slow life aesthetics. Behind the concept are the owners of the viral Boby Specialty Coffee, who have been winning the hearts of Cracovians for years. This time, they decided to go one step further and create a place entirely dedicated to matcha – a drink that has become an urban phenomenon in recent seasons.
The name Ayko is no accident – it hides two Japanese characters: 愛 (love) and 幸 (happiness), which reflect the idea behind the brand. Every cup of tea is meant to be a moment of relaxation and pleasure, while the minimalist interior promotes tranquillity.
The décor of the premises is inspired by the aesthetics of japandi – a style that combines Japanese minimalism and Scandinavian functionality. Dark wood, steel accents and cosy low areas with cushions create an atmosphere of harmony in which it is easy to slow down.
The matcha at Ayko is real art – imported directly from Japan, in ceremonial quality. The owners personally take care of the tea selection so that each serving is a unique experience. In addition to classic matcha, the menu will also feature creative drinks and snacks inspired by Japanese culture.
