A beautiful interior straight from Krakow is the latest realisation by Diana Żurek – founder of Furora Studio, who has combined aesthetics with functionality with finesse. The flat on the top floor of a Krakow building impresses with its spaciousness, light and design consistency. Its open layout originally required a thoughtful redesign to create clear zones and emphasise its architectural identity.
Woven fronts, green stone and black lines
The main design consideration was the construction of an entrance enclosure that subtly separates the hall from the kitchen, while also becoming a distinctive element of the interior. The furniture fronts are covered with a fabric with a delicate woven pattern, set in metal frames. Their colour is emphasised by the dark shade of wood and green stone – a noble, natural material that combines a utilitarian and decorative function. The design also benefits from strong geometric accents – the rhythmic arrangement of the wooden floor corresponds with the black truss on the ceiling, which adds elegance and emphasises the structure of the space.
Unique furniture creates a beautiful interior straight from Krakow
The flat features many bespoke pieces – from the openwork bookcases to the blue dining table, which gently breaks up the muted colour scheme. The design is based on balance: the horizontal lines of the furniture and built-ins harmonise perfectly with the vertical high-slung doors and elegant panels on the walls.
Home spa area with sauna
The bathroom has been considerably enlarged by connecting to the adjoining room. This has made it possible to create a comfortable spa area with sauna, making this interior not only aesthetically pleasing, but also conducive to everyday relaxation. Cream and anthracite tones dominate here, creating an atmosphere of calm and tranquillity.
Intimate bedroom overlooking the greenery
Despite its small size, the bedroom is surprisingly functional. There is room for a large bed and a built-in wardrobe concealed behind a decorative door. The corner windows open up onto the greenery outside, allowing the interior to blend harmoniously with nature.
Details and quality of materials in focus
This beautiful interior straight from Krakow stands out for its attention to detail and conscious approach to design. Diana Żurek opted for noble materials, varied textures and a subdued but full of depth colour palette. The end result is a cohesive, picturesque space that exudes calm, elegance and authenticity.
About the studio:
Furora Studio – An original design studio run by architects Diana Żurek and Gutek Girk. In our studio, we strive to create spaces that are comfortable but not obvious – with a wink. Based on a combination of classic solutions with modern restraint and a touch of playfulness, we create sophisticated mirages. We look for healthy uniqueness and opt for expressive, bold ideas that give interiors a personal touch and a timeless dimension. Our palette is one of art, authenticity and a mix of different architectural styles, which we implement in the smallest details, disregarding trends but the needs and feelings of the Investors. In our projects, we use unusual forms, textures and colours to dress the surfaces and furniture we design. We make sure that each piece of furnishings is unique – without reaching for ready-made solutions, but by delving into the noble decorations and coherent accents of the manufactured objects. The whole becomes a seamless, integral space. You can find out more about the studio here: https://furora.studio
