In a world where design is becoming a manifesto of individuality, the LRNCE brand invites you to discover a unique collection of handmade ceramics – a combination of Belgian precision, Moroccan soul and artistic… naivety that redefine the concept of contemporary craftsmanship.
Since May, LRNCE – the brand founded by Belgian artist Laurence Leenaert – has made its home at the Nomad Warsaw boutique. The brand has been building its identity on handcrafted ceramics, textiles and accessories since 2013 and is renowned for its objects characterised by positive energy. Each is the result of passion, masterful craftsmanship and a dialogue between Belgian tradition and inspirations drawn from Marrakech, which pulses with originality.
The beauty of imperfection
Laurence Leenaert, a graduate of the KASK (School of Arts) in Ghent, decided to depart from the beaten path to explore new horizons of creativity in Marrakech. In the local environment, steeped in colour, light and a centuries-old tradition of craftsmanship, a studio was born that quickly developed into a fully-fledged brand. LRNCE combines geometric forms, desert colours and Mediterranean freshness to create pieces that balance wearable art and collector value. Each piece in the collection carries a unique handprint and a certain imperfection, making it not only aesthetically pleasing but also an emotional artistic message.
The new ceramics collection is a carefully selected collection of objects full of expression and authenticity. The photo shoot, realised in collaboration with Zasoby Studio in Warsaw, subtly brings the Moroccan spirit to the urban landscape. Soft light and neutral backgrounds give the products a new, intimate context, emphasising their uniqueness and depth of emotion. The products are not just everyday objects – they are an expression of a philosophy of life in which simplicity, craftsmanship and attention to detail create a harmonious whole.
The LRNCE brand is also a story about the search for harmony between form and function. In 2021, Laurence, together with her husband, photographer Bach Draye, opened Riad Rosemary in Marrakech – a boutique guest house that also serves as a gallery. Every corner of Riad Rosemary is a collage of local craftsmanship, art and minimalism, where simplicity becomes luxury and space becomes a story of place.
Artistic expression
The ceramics collection shown in the photographs celebrates the beauty of imperfection. It becomes not only a design accent, but also a manifesto for an approach to life full of attentiveness and authenticity. The playful crockery proves that in times of mass production and short-lived trends, true art lies in the attention to detail and the communication of emotions encapsulated in each handmade piece.

Don’t let the editor’s profile picture fool you. No one has hacked our website! The LEGO brand encouraged us to celebrate Children’s Day in a unique way. We changed the profile pictures of our editors, taking us back to the blissful time of childhood 😊. The cursor in the desktop version, which turned into a LEGO block for a few days, is also a variety. This version of the website will accompany us until 1 June. This year, on the occasion of Children’s Day, the LEGO brand prepared a special action with the Slowhop platform, as part of which it filled 21 houses across Poland with LEGO bricks sets and gave those willing to participate the opportunity to spend a weekend of creative play in them. We wrote more about this action HERE and HERE.
PS and if you are looking for ideas for a LEGO set for creative play then check out our suggestions HERE. These are good gift ideas, not just for Children’s Day!
