Comfort Design Days 2025 event report

June saw the ninth edition of Komfort Design Days. This is an event that brings together the world of interior design with suppliers of high-quality solutions for flats, homes and public spaces. Almost 50 interior design brands from Poland and abroad presented their latest collections, innovative solutions and technologies . The organisers also provided lectures and discussion panels to deepen the participants’ knowledge. This year’s motto “Design for man and the planet” was prevalent both in the presentations and at the exhibitors’ stands. There was also no shortage of well-known TV personalities.

This year’s Komfort Design Days focused on new trends, the role of design in sustainable development and the impact of innovation on quality of life and customer satisfaction. We found this out by visiting the stands of brands (for example Senti, Cersanit and Barlinek) and participating in panel discussions with experts.

A strong highlight of the programme was the live televised “Set the scene!”. Two celebrity couples – Edyta Herbuś with Piotr Bukowiecki and Barbara Kurdej-Szatan with Rafał Szatan – competed in five exciting rounds. From the selection and installation of flooring, through the choice of furniture, to the final decorative touch, the celebrities created arrangements of the drawn interiors. The effects of their work were judged by a jury composed of Anna Dereszowska, Krzysztof Mirucia and Konrad Jezierski, and the competition was coordinated by Komfort brand experts. Host Maciej Kurzajewski set the pace for the event with his clever banter and pertinent questions, and the whole show could successfully compete with TV productions.

New trends and expert knowledge

During the two-day event, we were able to take part in more than a dozen lectures and panel discussions, including a presentation by the Komfort brand, which provided a neat summary of key changes in the market and pointed out the company’s most important development directions. Of great interest was Krzysztof Mirucia’s presentation, who talked about designing interiors with user comfort in mind during his panel. Designing a space is not just a matter of an attractive arrangement, but a process during which an architect should adapt a given interior to the needs of a particular person. Senti Ceramica’s brand ambassador also spoke about the key elements that influence the style and character of an interior, such as light, materials or proportions, as well as the growing role of artificial intelligence in the design industry. However, he emphasised that, regardless of the technology, the starting point should always be the human being.

Tailor-madeinteriors

During the panel on kitchens, Tomasz Ostrowicki (Komfort) and Piotr Wyszyński (EXTOM MEBLE) pointed out how important it is today to provide a comprehensive service – from design to white goods logistics to installation. Personalisation and storage systems combine aesthetics with ergonomics. In turn, the lecture by Michał Stemplewski and Magda Kubiak emphasised the Express Renovation service. A finished kitchen in just seven days? Such a fast turnaround is possible and without any loss in quality.

We were able to see concrete solutions for interiors at the Senti Ceramica stand. The interactive area there allowed us to “enter” the customer’s virtual home, understand his or her daily habits and, on this basis, select materials – from tiles inspired by natural stone shades to modules with different textures.

The future today

The Cersanit zone was also an eye-catcher, showcasing innovative solutions in the area of sanitary fittings. Toilet bowls with a vortex flushing system took centre stage. The groundbreaking technology was developed by Mirosław Zapora. Thanks to his idea, the water needed for flushing was reduced to 2/4 litres, while maintaining full hygienic efficiency.

The Barlinek brand, in turn, presented hybrid floors for interiors with a variety of aesthetics. An interesting highlight was the NextStep model, which combines a wear layer of real wood with a durable mineral composite core. This combination gives the floor the nobility of a natural raw material as well as water resistance and durability.

Classen Floor Systems products can be described as the technology of tomorrow. These are modular laminate floors with increased moisture resistance and hybrid panels. The toughened Opticlear glass from New Trendy is distinguished by a special coating, which is supposed to protect against streaks for up to a decade. There were many more product innovations at Komfort Design Days! A recording of the online broadcast of the event can already be viewed at designdays.komfort.pl.

This year’s Komfort Design Days made it clear that true comfort is not just about the product, but about the entire service – from the idea, through design and delivery, to perfect installation and a smile on the customer’s face. This way of working characterises the Komfort brand’s offering. Customers can count on a comprehensive service, from the initial design to professional installation, using the highest quality products from renowned manufacturers. The chain’s offer includes products and solutions of such brands as: Barlinek, Cersanit, Classen, Decora, DRE, Egger, New Trendy, Omnires, Porta, Senti, Senti Ceramica or Quick-Step.
