The Archideo architectural studio traces its origins back to 1969. Since then, it has been developed by two generations of architects – Jan Sabiniarz and Karol Sabiniarz. In their designs, the men draw handfuls from the architectural traditions found in the country and give each house an individual character. One of their realisations is a single-family house designed as an old hunting lodge.
The single-family house was designed to meet the individual requirements of a family that values the combination of functionality and tradition. Its style is reminiscent of an authentic old hunting lodge. The use of modern technological solutions and natural building materials made it possible to create an architecture that acquires beauty and character over time, never growing old.
The building was constructed using masonry technology with timber log siding. A warm ceiling with a lightweight reinforced concrete slab was also made of wood. The façade made of hand-moulded bricks and Prussian brick elements refers to the old hunting manor houses that can be found in the Polish landscape. The wooden elements, which were brushed to bring out the beauty of the natural wood, were designed and hand-drawn by architect Jan Sabiniarz and made by a friendly carpenter. The roof with dormer windows is covered with traditional ceramic tiles. The character of the building is emphasised by windows with muntin bars in the colour of natural wood.
The house has two arcades: an entrance corner arcade with a porch and a leisure arcade with a terrace in the recreation area. The entrance to the house from the side elevation discreetly leads into the interior. On the garden side there is a terrace with panoramic windows. A balcony with railings designed by the office and forged by a blacksmith adds lightness at loft level. All the meticulously crafted details add charm and a rustic note to the house. The idyllic-style interiors fit in perfectly with the design intent.
