Cooker on Szewska Street. Italian postcard from Klu Studio

Piec na Szewskiej is a new venue in Wrocław, where architecture and culinary experience intermingle at every turn. The interior designed by Klu Studio is reminiscent of an Italian postcard full of colour, light and casual elegance. It is a space where classical motifs have been filtered through contemporary aesthetics and a sense of humour.

The design is based on a bold juxtaposition of colours and textures. Juicy red, bottle green and mustard yellow create a dynamic backdrop for natural wood and geometric tiles in a black and white chequered pattern. The juxtaposition of intense colours with organic materials introduces a slightly theatrical atmosphere that builds the setting for everyday gatherings over pizza and wine.

The interior is full of irony and lightness. The neon slogan reflected in the mirrored wall, the cascades of bottles and the velour curtains hiding the backdrops create a play between reality and decoration. The recurring motif of geometric stepping stones appears at different scales: from the frames of passageways to the details of furniture and mirrors. It is a coherent language of forms that unites all elements of the décor.

The artistic character of the space is emphasised by the painting above the seating area, depicting loose illustrations of Italian vegetables, fruits and delicacies. The composition introduces a touch of illustrative humour, while complementing the colour palette of the premises. Red, green, turquoise and warm wood tones create an energetic interior with balanced accents of beige.

The focal point of the premises is the bar, finished with chequered tiles and strong colours. It is around it that the whole life of the place is organised. A red structure hides the lighting above the bar area, adding rhythm and graphic order to the interior.

Cooker on Szewska plays with form without losing functionality. The well-thought-out layout of the zones and the clear organisation of the space make the premises pulsate with the rhythm of daily service. Every detail, from the soft curtains, to the neon signs, tiles and mirrors, to the texture of the wood, has been designed to work on the senses and create a coherent story of Italian taste in a modern edition. And all this in the heart of Wrocław!
