On a wooded plot, where the landscape itself is the most important element of the composition, a single-family house designed by Minimum Architects was created. It is a realisation that does not try to compete with the surrounding forest, but becomes its natural extension. The architects focused on the idea of harmonious coexistence – the building does not dominate the space, but opens up to light, greenery and the rhythm of nature.
The body of the house is based on a wooden structure, which gives it a light and organic character. The façade is clad in natural wood boards, whose surface patinates nobly over time, blending in with the colour of the tree bark and the changing hues of the surroundings. This aging of the material is not a defect, but rather a deliberate process – the architects wanted the house to mature with the landscape. The anodised aluminium window joinery adds subtlety and a modern expression to the building, while at the same time introducing a raw permanence as a counterpoint to the soft wood texture.
The most important element of the spatial layout is a central atrium with a small garden. This semi-open interior acts as an intimate relaxation area. It allows the residents to experience the proximity of nature without losing their privacy – the garden becomes a private retreat and at the same time the heart of the house, around which everyday life is centred.
The interiors are designed in a spirit of simplicity and natural warmth. The predominant materials are inspired by nature: wood, stone and steel, put together in a coherent, timeless composition. Furniture made of oak veneer stained in a dark shade adds elegance to the space, while ceramic and stone accessories emphasise its organic character. The whole creates an atmosphere of tranquillity, where modernity meets naturalness and functionality meets aesthetics.

The project by Minimum Architects is an example of conscious architecture – one that does not impose itself on the landscape, but coexists with it. It is a project where comfort and silence go hand in hand with high aesthetic standards, and where residents can feel part of the forest without giving up modern amenities. The result is a space that not only responds to the needs of its users, but also engages in a subtle dialogue with nature, becoming an integral part of it.
