The call for projects for this year’s edition of the must have 2025 plebiscite has started. The event is organised by the Łódź Design Festival and recognises the best implementations from Polish designers and manufacturers. In which categories can projects be submitted?
The must have plebiscite is organised to promote good design and native creators. Applications for the plebiscite are accepted at the website HERE. Some projects are submitted to the plebiscite by members of the Council of Experts, who jointly evaluate the proposals. A total of 970 products have been awarded over the past 14 years.

The plebiscite is open to products or product collections that are manufactured and/or sold by a company based in Poland. An important requirement is the Polish citizenship of the designer or at least one person if the project was created by a team. Products that were introduced to regular sales after 1 January 2020 will be considered. More information and rules and regulations can be found on the organiser’s website. Applications can be sent until 28 February 2025.
Products can be submitted in the categories: furniture (indoor & outdoor); fashion (clothing, jewellery, accessories); interior design (lighting, accessories, equipment, design element, materials); electronics; lifestyle (sport, recreation, health, beauty); child; animals; hobbies, entertainment, education; visual communication (product, space); services and technological solutions (websites, apps).
must have 2025. expert council
A few days ago, the composition of this year’s Expert Council was announced. Its members will select between 60 and 80 products to receive must have 2025. Among the members are: Hanna Rydlewska (publishing director of Vogue Polska and editor-in-chief of Vogue Polska Living), Michał Piernikowski (director of the Łódź Design Festival), Krzysztof Miruć (architect, founder and chief designer of L’AB Architekci studio), Anna Grużewska (editor-in-chief of Czas na Wnętrze magazine), Agnieszka Gruszczyńska-Hyc (editor-in-chief of the Polish edition of the international magazine ‘Architectural Digest’), Anna Chwalińska (editor-in-chief of ‘ELLE Decoration’), Kamil Białas (editor-in-chief of the ‘whiteMAD’ magazine and the ‘Whitemad.pl”).
The awards in the 15th edition of the plebiscite will be presented on 24 May, during the 19th Łódź Design Festival 2025 (20-25 May 2025).
