Dworcowa 67 – new development in the heart of Bydgoszcz will restore the splendour of a tenement house that is more than 100 years old

A section of Dworcowa Street in Bydgoszcz will soon come alive again. This will happen thanks to a new investment, as part of which an over hundred-year-old tenement house will regain its former glory and will be modernised and adapted to the needs of new residents. As the investor – Hunger Development – assures, Dworcowa 67 will combine history with modernity.

Bydgoszcz owes its charm to German architects, including Ott Walter, who designed the famous ‘Jedynak’ department store and the tenement house at 67 Dworcowa St. The building, erected between 1912 and 1913, is distinguished by its monumental, elegant body with rich ornamentation and fanciful architectural details, which will be preserved and restored. The entrance is crowned by a bas-relief of a muscular man on horseback holding a spar with a banner, symbolising the investment and inspiring the logo for the entire project.

The project is distinguished by several key features that provide exceptional comfort and prestige for future residents. The location in the city’s historic quarter combines rich history with modernity, creating a unique architectural and urban context. The multi-storey car park will provide convenience and security, while the façade with its preserved ornaments will restore the building’s former character and elegance.

Modern lifts will open directly into the flats, increasing the comfort of living, while 3.5 m high ceilings and flats of up to 250 m² will offer spacious interiors for any arrangement. A representative lobby with a reception and concierge service will offer residents daily support and convenience. The basement of the building will also be redeveloped to accommodate future retail and service units.

Extensive work will include replacing ceilings, rebuilding partition walls and staircases and common areas, replacing the roof and its sheathing, installing new windows and doors, laying new installations and redesigning the courtyard. The hallmark of the investment is a modern, minimalist and timeless architecture, alluding in colours and materials to a palette inspired by nature. Sales of the flats have already started and the investment will soon be ready. Its completion is planned for the third quarter of this year.
