Elegance on 35 metres. Flat on Lema Street in Kraków

A flat by the NONO Group has been built on Stanisława Lema street in Kraków. The apartment of 35.5 square metres was designed for a woman who values aesthetics, comfort and original solutions. The project is a quintessence of modern style, where every centimetre has been used with thoughtful precision.

Functional space on Lema Street

Architects from the NONO studio divided the flat into three zones: a living room, bedroom and bathroom. By demolishing partition walls and replacing them with carpentry, they managed to create an open, bright and harmonious space. The layout of the individual rooms makes it possible to function comfortably on a day-to-day basis, and their interweaving creates an impression of lightness and spaciousness. The entrance area with its large mirrors, which optically enlarge the space and bring in light, attracts attention right from the threshold.

Colours and materials – a play of contrasts and structures

The colour base of the interior consists of beige tones, broken up by chocolate brown. Contrasting accents of dark blue and blue complete the composition and add elegance and freshness. This colour palette, not coincidentally selected, has a calming effect, perfectly in line with the idea of creating a space for relaxation. The interior is based on a variety of textures and materials: light wood, stone, handmade tiles, fabric structures, metal and mirrors. This combination creates a space that is cosy, yet full of character and sophistication.

Details and distinctive accents

The design abounds in unconventional solutions. The kitchen is dominated by industrial-style cabinetry with visible cabinet edges and a granite worktop. Mirrors above the worktop further enhance the spacious effect. The kitchen, although small, was designed to be fully functional. The bedroom, on the other hand, is distinguished by an unusual headrest made of 3D ceramic tiles, arranged in rhythmic stripes. The effect is accentuated by the colour-matched walls and ceiling. The blue fabric wallpaper provides an interesting counterpoint to the living area.

Bathroom – small form, big effect

Despite the limited space, the bathroom has been designed with considerable flair. It features a shower with bronze glass, a washbasin with a soft, organic shape and handmade tiles. All these elements form a coherent and elegant whole, in keeping with the design concept.

A flat on Lema with an original character

The design of the Lema Street flat is an excellent example of how an aesthetically pleasing and functional interior can be created in a small space. Bold design decisions and the creative approach of Kinga Stawowczyk and Karolina Szyszka of Grupa NONO resulted in a modern asylum with a strong individual character. Their space pleases the eye and promotes tranquillity, in line with the owner’s expectations.
