Facility for people in crisis of homelessness. To be established in Targówek!

A facility for people in crisis of homelessness will be built at Nieświeskana Street in the Targówek district. The project includes the construction and furnishing of a new dormitory building with a heating facility for people experiencing homelessness, together with additional buildings and landscaping.

The facility will be divided into two parts and will accommodate a total of 150 people. The dormitory building will be designed for 100 people – 20 women, 80 men and 50 people in the heating section. The total floor area of the building will be close to 1,000 m². The building will be equipped with the following installations: water and sewage, central heating, hot water, gravitational and mechanical ventilation, electricity and low-current. The building will be adapted for use by the disabled based on requirements specified in the ‘Regulation of the Minister of Infrastructure and Construction on technical conditions to be met by buildings and their location’ as well as ‘Accessibility standards for the City of Warsaw’.

The investment will also include the construction of accesses and driveways to the building, a car park, a rubbish shed, fencing of the area and the necessary technical infrastructure. New greenery will be planted. The project was created at the EDC Marcin Kwaśnik studio. The contractor will be PHU MUNBAR Monika Zegardło. The work is scheduled to be completed in 2026.
