Mieszkanie na wrocławskim Biskupinie. Zaglądamy do wnętrza!

Flat in Wrocław’s Biskupin district. We take a look inside!

The flat in Wrocław’s Biskupin neighbourhood is a simple but not boring interior, designed by Anna Witkiewicz, founder of the Wymyśl Studio. The architect opted for natural materials, simple forms and references to tradition. The result? Check it out for yourself!

Flat in Wrocław’s Biskupin – functionality and history in one

In the heart of green Biskupin, one of the most beautiful districts of Wrocław, there is a flat which is a perfect combination of pre-war atmosphere and modern functionality. The building in which the interior is located has retained its historical character, which became the main inspiration for the project. On an area of 80 m2, it was possible to create a space that not only impresses with its aesthetics, but also meets the needs of a family of four – a married couple with twins.

Living room and kitchen – a harmony of classic and modern

The living room combined with the kitchen is a space where the family can spend time together. The kitchen fronts in shades of oak veneer and ash varnish match the muted colour palette, complemented by gold accents and wood elements. The original character of the flat was helped by the old wooden floors laid in herringbone and the addition of delicate stuccowork on the walls. In this interior, the attention is drawn to an extremely expressive and bold wallpaper, which becomes a strong decorative accent. Its pattern alludes to tropical flora and fauna, while bringing energy and lightness to the space. The colourful palette – ranging from greens to oranges to soft blues – blends well with natural materials such as oak flooring and marble worktops. The wallpaper acts as the visual centrepiece of the living room, providing a backdrop for the TV and emphasising the original character of the interior.

Elegance in the bathroom and gold accents

The bathroom is the real gem of this interior. The walls are covered with imitation marble tiles with a distinctive vein pattern, which, combined with the gold fittings, create a luxurious base. The muted pink of the lacquered cabinets breaks up the classic colour scheme, adding softness and subtle charm to the interior. Compact solutions, such as the practical oak veneer washbasin cabinet, have maximised the use of space without compromising on aesthetics.

The bedroom – an oasis of calm with a nod to history

The bedroom is where classic references meet modernity. The beige upholstered bed frame with a high headboard provides comfort, while the floral patterns add cosiness to the interior. The walls are decorated with stuccowork that alludes to the pre-war aesthetic, while contrasting black ceiling trims emphasise its distinctive character. The whole is complemented by smoked glass lamps with gold elements, which create a warm, atmospheric atmosphere.

A home with soul for the whole family

The flat is filled with warm colours such as beige, pink, black and gold, which create a consistent palette and give the interior an elegant feel. This interior is not only a beautiful design – it is also proof that the history of a place can blend perfectly with modern needs. The Biskupin flat is a space that perfectly reflects the expectations of its inhabitants, while being a cosy home for the whole family.
