Flat with a view of Krakow. This luxurious interior

It has two levels. The flat with a brilliant view of Krakow was designed by KONZEPT Architekci architects. It is located in the Wiślane Tarasy estate building. It occupies the last two levels of a modern apartment building.

The style in which the project has been arranged could serve as a backdrop for the cinematography of The Great Gatsby. The sumptuousness in the form of gold decorations was juxtaposed with modern, yet classic furniture design. Themodern classic style is a sophisticated combination of classic and modern, without forgetting the principles of harmony and symmetry,” say the authors of the project.

The interior features elements inspired by elegant spaces of past eras. These have been combined with modern design. The shape of the flat itself imposes unobvious solutions, its plan resembles the truncated hull of the Titanic, which offers a panoramic view of the city. On the lower ‘deck’ is the living area with two lounges, and on the upper deck are the sleeping quarters with a mezzanine floor. However, the layout of the flat was not easy to arrange.

The hallway was decorated with stucco and gold decorative elements. This treatment made the flat stand out from the crowd as soon as you cross the threshold. A direct extension of the hallway is the open-plan living room, which forms the heart of the flat. The symmetrically arranged sofas in relation to the stone tables bear witness to the harmony that has been maintained. On opposite sides, a tall, mezzanine-like modern lamp is proposed to introduce a delicate hint of art deco in the form of a slender golden figure on the other side. In addition, the crystal lamps mounted on the first floor catch the eye. They are also clearly visible from the mezzanine floor, which is supported by round pillars.

It is worth noting that the individual rooms are not separated by walls, the transitions between them are smooth, and only specific elements determine the change of use – the most characteristic seem to be the striking lamps in the living room or dining room, the architects add.

In order to ensure good lighting of the interior, the architects decided to install bus bars and delicate light points. The walls have been variegated with decors. These can also be found in the bathrooms and toilets.

Move the slider BEFORE and AFTER:

In the kitchen area, the architects opted for a play of contrasts in the form of two materials – porcelain stoneware
porcelain stoneware with a distinctive vein and American walnut veneer. In the dining area, a curiosity are the stylistic treatments referring to the 1920s.

The residents’ private area was created on the first floor. A glass staircase leads to it. The investors have a bathroom at their disposal in which a shower and toilet are loosely separated by a wall of smoked glass. Longitudinal mirrors and a cabinet with two wash basins hang on the wall.
