For lovers of black. Elegant flat in Krakow

It was to be minimalist, filled with natural materials and functional. The elegant flat is located in Kraków, its interior designed by architects from The Line Studio.

The designed interior is located in a building close to a park. The owners can therefore enjoy the view of the eye-soothing greenery. The designers from The Line Studio had freedom in the design. The space originally received from the developer had to be redesigned and adapted to the needs of the tenants. The result is a functional layout that fully meets their expectations.

The architects reached for a harmonious combination of colours, materials. Warm shades of wood, light-coloured walls, smooth upholstery and curtains give a sense of peace and tranquillity. The right furniture helped to create an elegant flat. Much of the furniture was custom-made. The interior is spacious and bright. Large windows allow for natural light. The floor is decorated with parquet from Chapel Parket made of warm wood. The floor chosen in this way has become a decorative element.

The main part of the flat is the living area, which consists of a living room connected to the kitchen. This is where the residents meet their loved ones, receive guests and indulge in moments of relaxation. A large table has been set up here with communal meals in mind. It serves various functions and can be used as a work space. Art can also be found here. In the living room, there is a custom-made work by Tomek Opalinski. It is accompanied by a woodcut by the Krakow artist Jerzy Panek. Krzysztof Wyzner’s work has also found its place.

The simple but fully functional kitchen was made of oak veneered fronts. The cabinetry was complemented by modern household appliances, which make cooking here a pleasure.

Integrated appliances such as the oven, induction hob, dishwasher and fridge have been harmoniously integrated into the kitchen design, which not only optically enlarges the space, but also ensures ergonomic and efficient use. The use of smart technology enabling remote control of appliances and lighting further increases the level of convenience, the project’s authors explain.

The architects carefully designed the bedroom. It is an oasis of calm, guaranteeing a pleasant night’s sleep. The bedroom is complemented by a dressing room, whose aesthetics are consistent with the rest of the flat. Wood, as a natural material, brings a sense of authenticity to the room and harmoniously interacts with the other furnishings.

An interesting feature is the ceiling-to-ceiling door in the living room. Behind these, there is a bathroom with a shower and a free-standing bathtub. The space is filled with muted colours. Travertine sinters dominate the walls, adding a natural and luxurious feel to the room.
