It’s a treat for fans of minimalism and modern technology. Samsung has unveiled the slimmest smartphone in its portfolio. The Galaxy S25 Edge proves that nothing is impossible and that, with a thickness of just 5.8 mm, it is possible to incorporate technological innovations, including the intelligent Galaxy AI functions, in a slim body.
In an age of colourful covers and smartphone cases, the Galaxy S25 Edge’s modest form factor is a huge asset. The device stands out for its downright ascetic design, broken only by a small manufacturer logo on the back and a rounded island with camera lenses. The Galaxy S25 Edge measures 158.22 mm in length and 75.6 mm in width. The weight is also a plus, at just 163 g.
The durability and sturdiness of the device is achieved thanks to the titanium casing and the Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 covering of the display. The 6.7-inch screen incorporates precision-embedded crystals in the glass matrix for better durability while maintaining a clear image. Out of journalistic duty, we should also mention one of the most powerful processors on the market (Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy), as well as 12 GB of RAM and 256 or 512 GB of data storage. With such a large capacity, you can successfully save your favourite films or series in the highest resolution, store hundreds of hours of music offline and thousands of photos. However, you will not find a microSD card slot on the device – its absence is part of the smartphone’s slimming project.
The Galaxy S25 Edge sits stably in the hand. Its sides are bevelled and rounded at the corners. The front part is completely flat, while the back part is slightly rounded to better fit the shape of the hand. The well-thought-out shape ensures that surfing the internet or browsing social media does not tire the wrist.
Samsung designers have developed a colour palette that references the concept of luminous shade throughout the Galaxy S25 series. The device is available in three timeless colours: Titanium Silver, Titanium Blue and Titanium Black. These shades have allowed the bezel to be visually integrated into the back casing, resulting in a consistent and uniform design.
When designing the Galaxy S25 Edge, we considered colour depth and saturation, material integration, user preferences and manufacturing processes. This allowed us to express the symbolism and sophisticated identity of the Galaxy S25 Edge, while remaining consistent with the overall CMF direction of the Galaxy S25 series,” explains Hyoungshin Park, who led the design of the colour, material and finish selection.
Samsung’s design team wanted to create not only the slimmest smartphone in the company’s portfolio, but to deliver a product that gives users a sense of satisfaction and comfort when handling and holding it in the hand.
The Galaxy S25 Edge offers a natural one-handed grip that reduces wrist tension during prolonged use, and the slim frame allows for a more immersive visual experience, adds Jiyoung Lee, who is responsible for the product design.

Design consistency can be seen in details such as the camera. The powerful lens takes photos at an impressive 200 Mpix quality. The lens has been embedded in a linear arrangement, using the same material as the rear casing. In this way, the effect of a uniform structure has been achieved. The second camera has 12 Mpix and an ultra-wide-angle lens. It will be appreciated by fans of architecture, for whom it is often a problem to fit an entire building into the frame. In addition, there is also a 12 Mpix camera on the front of the device for video calls and selfies. Thanks to Samsung’s ProVisual Engine technology, even photos taken in lower light conditions look brilliant.
However, the minimalist chassis and cameras are not everything. The power of the Galaxy S25 Edge is what it has inside. With Galaxy AI smart features, you can organise your day, perform tasks and create more easily. The smartphone will easily transform a simple sketch into an artistic masterpiece or remove an unnecessary element from a photograph.
