In September, the first Górna Półka showroom in Poland opened in Białystok. It marks a new chapter in the history of this Polish furniture manufacturer and, at the same time, transforms the way we engage with design. After years of operating exclusively online, the full range is now available in physical form, allowing customers to see the furniture in its natural scale, feel the materials, compare finishes and check the proportions – aspects that a computer screen does not always do justice to.
Górna Półka has been operating on the market for over a decade, supplying furniture with a distinctive design to private individuals, the HoReCa sector, the private rental sector and the office sector. It is developing its sales model by focusing on personalisation and maintaining quality. This is bespoke furniture, which is only produced after an order is placed, during which customers can alter dimensions and colours, and choose fabrics and finishing details. Until now, Górna Półka has operated exclusively via its website, where an intuitive 3D configurator allows customers to create the furniture of their dreams. It is now expanding its offering with a showroom where customers can see, touch and try out selected furniture before placing an order.
The decision to locate the showroom in Białystok was a logical step. This is where Górna Półka’s furniture is created – from the initial concepts to the final product. The proximity of the design team and production experts lends the space an authenticity that would be difficult to replicate in another city. The showroom acts as an extension of the design studio and production hall, with no distance between the creators and the customers.
A home for design
The new space quickly began to function as a hub for meetings, work and the exchange of ideas. Architects, designers and individual clients can configure their own furniture here, browse material samples, discuss a project, work in the co-working area or organise a private meeting in a separate room. At the same time, the showroom serves as a source of inspiration – ready-made interior schemes demonstrate how individual elements function in a real-life setting, rather than just in visualisations.

Access to the best brands
An integral part of the space is a carefully curated display of brands that complement Górna Półka’s range and allow for a comprehensive approach to design. These include Ciarko Design with ventilation solutions, Omnires with bathroom fittings, Franke with kitchen equipment, and Smeg with household appliances. Alongside these are Trufle mosaics, Ceramics36 ceramics, Cemher microcements, Rooc clay plasters, Creativa decorative panels and mouldings, Ummo lighting, Kalmar radiators, Vectis switches, as well as Acustio acoustic panels and decorative objects by Zieta Studio. The whole is complemented by Floralet accessories, which bring a natural touch to the space. As a result, the showroom becomes a place where you can refine your design from the material layer right down to the final details, without having to visit numerous outlets in different parts of the city.

The collaboration with such a wide range of partners is no coincidence. Since its inception, Górna Półka has built its brand on quality and conscious choices, which is why the showroom features products from companies that share a similar approach to design and production. It is not just a display, but also a working tool for designers, who can combine materials, test solutions and create coherent concepts all in one place.
See for yourself
A few months after opening, the brand emphasises that the showroom has become a space that genuinely strengthens relationships with customers and the design community. Refined in every detail and designed as a place for dialogue, it demonstrates that design matures best where it can be discussed, touched and experienced in person. At the same time, Górna Półka continues to evolve in terms of design – it regularly creates new collections and product ranges, expanding its offering to furnish every room in the home, from the living area through the kitchen and bathroom to the bedroom and utility spaces. The brand is also expanding its presence beyond Poland: in the Czech, German and French markets, it operates under the name Upper Half, consistently building brand recognition and the scale of its operations. Górna Półka proves that the transition from online to the physical world is not merely a change of format – it is a step that gives the brand a new scale and a new quality of engagement with its customers. It’s a place worth seeing for yourself!
