We are delighted to invite you to the Great Bee Exhibition, which will take place in picturesque Rapperswil. The author of the project is Diana Dyba, who promotes the beauty of wild bees and Polish art internationally.
Among the works on display will be works by artists such as Aleksandra Waliszewska, Pola Dwurnik, Wiktor Stribog, Martyna Czech, Joanna Czajkowska, Magda Pankiewicz, Karolina Pawełczyk, Bartek Kiełbowicz and many others. On this day, the work of Joanna Sarapata and the unique porcelain ‘Miodem płynące’ by Stanisław Brach will be presented for the first time.
The Great Bee Exhibition also includes works by patrons of bees – responsible artists and brands who have prepared products with the image of a selected bee from the exhibition or in reference to the life of wild bees. These are limited collections that are applied art, among which you will find a unique bee totem from Totem Studio Warsaw, blankets designed and made by Szmat Skład, a hand-made mascot depicting a wild bee Makateczka komunicówka from Karolina Brzozowska, porcelain from Fabryka Porcelany Ćmielów, or unique hand-made jewellery and mini decorative sculptures from Monika Kreft.
The event will also feature a workshop on natural biodiversity and wild bees led by Diana Dyba herself – get ready for an inspiring experience!
The exhibition is scheduled to be inaugurated on 27 October 2024, as part of the Education Day celebrations. The event is co-organised by the Polish-Swiss Institute for Culture and Education and the Polish Embassy in Switzerland. The exhibition can also be visited online at jestemwlesie.pl, where additional educational materials prepared by biologist Martyna Walerowicz await.
